Charlie User ID: 105827 United States 06/14/2006 11:46 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | In my area we have three different phone books. I can not afford to advertise in the big one but have or will have five combined in the to other ones. One is local and the other covers a larger area the the exspensive phone book. Check into your options on different yellow page book ads. The yellow pages is one of the best and cheapest ways to advertise. It may hurt to pay in the begining but will be well worth it in the future of your business. You could also look into getting leads from an online lead co. I haven't tried that one yet but it's some thing I'll most likly do in the future. Leads cost any where from $4.00 to 35.00 per lead depending on the job. Research,Research,Research. Good luck! Charlie User ID: 105827 United States 06/14/2006 11:55 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | You could also advertise in the business section of your local news paper. That is exspenive aswell. The five ads I got cost me around $500.00 which for a start up co. is a very good deal. Check into it. Get a website, and do some SEO advertising. make sure you include the local areas, so, for example, someone searching on "computer help in Detroit" will be connected to your site. --word of mouth...if you do a job for a client, as for a referral. it takes time but these are usually the best clients --join your local chamber of commerce or business group. Best way to meet the actual people who make the buying decisions Good luck! I've been on my own since 2003, and haven't looked back. I work in my flip flops :-) |
