Veterans being screwed again!!

Thousands of orders for diagnostic medical tests have been purged en masse by the Department of Veterans Affairs to make it appear its decade-long backlog is being eliminated, according to documents obtained by the Washington Examiner.

About 40,000 appointments were “administratively closed” in Los Angeles, and another 13,000 were cancelled in Dallas in 2012.

That means the patients did not receive the tests or treatment that had been ordered, but rather the orders for the follow-up procedures were simply deleted from the agency’s records."

It took my father in law almost 10 years to get his benefits after the Air Force sent him a letter stating that Agent Orange is indeed the cause of all his medical issues. And to get those he had to go have his limp dick representative for his area to testify before congress on his behalf.

I hope they do destroy my records.
One less file for the government to have in their hands.

Yeah and the day you get ill and go to collect your earned benefits you'll be SOL.

I still have a VA membership ID card.
I still have my DD214.
They can't deny me, records or no records.

What benefits would they be denied with tests, that they wouldn't be denied without tests? VA is a joke. The streets are full of homeless vets and they have been betrayed by their country for a very long time.

Ummm.... they didn't deny me when I went there 4 years ago, with NO records. I'm a war vet from way back, and never went to the VA until 2010, so, no records. But my DD214 was a golden ticket right into the VA system.

Not sure what you've been told, but it was clearly a lie.

I have not had any bad experiences with the VA. They keep improving it. There might be mismanagement at some facilities. It is slow to get into the system. Once you are in and you make an effort to do the right thing they will work with you.

Well they denied my husband even with records.Had proof he was in the agent orange spraying.He had terminal cancer and was still denied.Progressed so fast that he was dead in 9 months after being diagnosed.Our child has medical problems also that is possibly related.

Yup they're bastards! Always looking for a way to deny and bury veterans instead of helping them. It's a sick sick govt we have.

Same with me. They're pretty good with testing and service at Loma Linda VA hospital.
