Last night I dreamt I was in Moldova. I've never even heard about this country. How is this possible?

In my dream I arrived at the airport in Moldova. I was with my friend and I was asking her where we were because I had no idea where Moldova was. I didn't even know it was country. She said it was in Eastern Europe. I saw many landmarks there that I had never seen in pictures in real life. Today I looked up pictures of Moldova and they were actually real landmarks! The one that stood out the most was what I believe to be the kishinev cathedral. This is pretty amazing to me. How did my brain come up with this?

Before the dream ended, I saw something even more startling. As I was walking around sightseeing with my friend, I saw fighter planes flying overhead and heard explosions off in the distance.

Now that I realize Moldova is right next to Ukraine, this dream is a little scary. Is there anyone else having similar dreams?

Since Ukraine is so much in the news these days, you probably saw Moldova on a map somewhere.

Incidentally, Moldova is the only source of moldavite, a sort of tektite that is greenish. Look it up.

Interesting and little known place.

I hope there is nothing prescient about your dream and that the people of Moldava can continue their lives in peace.

Last night I dreamed that I nailed Olivia Wilde in her childhood bedroom (she had her name painted on the wall) and I've never even heard of this actress before.

So you find it amazing that you have a crappier memory than your brain?

I once had a dream about a mountain that i had never heard the name of (that i could recall at the time, though its a popular mountain and I am a well read individual so I am sure I had at least heard of it before, but not since probably grade school).. i, and a group of people, were climbing it during a time of war activities and found out that nuclear waste was being stored in the mountain, and some other details. I woke up with the name of the mountain ringing repeatedly in my head. Did some research... dont talk about it much after what i learned.

so yes, it does happen to others, and it is really freaky. maybe the name was stuck in my subconscious somehow, I dont doubt that possibility, but it dis not take away from the feeling. This was 3 years ago and I still get weirded out about it.

Hmm... maybe my dream was a warning. I have a very bad feeling Moldova will be the flashpoint for WW3.

I once dreamt of flying over Nova Scotia and waving to the people on the ice covered ground

(Like I was a plane delivery type deal)

Anyway I had no idea even where Nova Scotia was ..never mind that it was a snowy place like Alaska ..LOL

hehe, you even dreamed it how is spelled in native language, that is romanian, for in english it's called Moldavia.

the region called Moldova is actually split in two parts. One is part of Romania, the other is an independent country which was part of Soviet Union, and was taken by force by the russians in after WW2...

The most important thing about historical Moldova, is one of her kings Stephen the Great, which in the 15th century ruled for almost 50 years. During his reign he won almost 50 battles with the otoman empire, and built a Church for every battle won...

i for one find it very interesting what you just dreamt. thx for sharing

I lived in MOLDOVA for almost 7 years.

Only idiots that are totally and completely clueless call it "Moldavia".

If Putin is stupid enough to try to take all of Ukraine that will be the flashpoint for WWIII not pissy little Moldova that is dirt poor and has nothing much but a huge wine cellar and a bevy of drop dead beautiful young ladies.
