a war to prevent economic collapse?

One thought I can't get out of mind is the only thing that would both prevent and conceal all the financial malfeasance that has been perpetrated worldwide and the depression it has caused for many people would be to have a war where all that would be forgotten, and where new systems would appear to form organically at the end. The more I look at how badly the economy is doing, the more the agitation that it happening at more and more flashpoints worries me.

That being the case, it's not unreasonable to suggest a great many more people are in on this than it would appear.
