I am working in one, 5 Mega Watt plant, built in the 50s decommissioned in the 70s, am I truly safe?

I just don't trust it and I don't have a radiation detector in my back pocket either. Thought somebody could shed a little light. This place isn't on the GPS, but it is there still. I don't trust that what they tell me here is actually what they do. Gee Einstein....THEN GO BUY ONE! How can ANYONE guess what the environment is like without having run some tests?
