Maybe this has been addressed - but wouldn't a school bathroom have been larger than 3' 4'? They usually have to have wheelchair access, etc. (granted, this was an older building).

When I watch this infamous interview, I find Roig to be inauthentic.

150+ rounds over the course of a few minutes sounds like more than a short burst to me.

Let alone an AR-15 in an enclosed interior space.

I commend the OP for taking action and doing a hands-on experiment.

Anyone who's spent any amount of time around small children knows that a game of "let's see how many of us can fit in a bathroom" would be nothing but fun for them, or at least as fun as any other game.

Most importantly, the bathrooms at SHS were a vital component of (alleged) real-world lockdown strategy; if in fact bathrooms are the safest place for children during a shooting, this MUST be determined; and if in fact, as the safest room for children, the bathrooms are too small for this purpose, this MUST be determined.

There is no reason a bathroom couldn't be developed as a very logical safe room for elementary schools, and it wouldn't be going too far to suggest metal doors.

This all goes to class sizes and safety: if the bathrooms are too small, they need to be bigger, or (preferably) class sizes need to be reduced.

Reinforce the doors. Put in little risers children can stand on to make room for others. This type of room will be useful not only for a shooter scenario, but possibly a tornado/hurricane shelter as well, in schools with no better options.

Tried to verify the layout of Roig's bathroom, BUT THEY DEMOLISHED THE SCHOOL.

Good for you OP. I didn't think it was possible. The only difference is there was no sink in the class bathrooms and the door opened inward making it even harder to fit 14 kids in.

I forgot to add the final report has neither pictures or video of the class bathrooms. Hall bathrooms - yes.
