What's the worst sprain you ever did to yourself? | |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 54819035 United States 03/03/2014 08:40 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I sprained my ankle about 15 yrs ago playing soccer, it was really bad and left bruises on both sides of my ankle at the time, needless to say I stopped playing soccer. ouchie! I was very dumb at the time and didn't go to the doctor. Now I have pain every day and limp because of arthritis that has set in. I had an MRI done 3 yrs ago and was diagnosed with chronic ruptured ligament which is never going away without surgery to which they pretty much can only fuse or replace the ankle. Lesson learned, have it checked out WHEN it happens, it can save you a lot of pain down the road. |

Quoting: C. 934 I'm almost starting to walk normal, but can't put too much weight on the foot. Don't ask me how, but my ankle was fine. I rolled my foot by accident in one split second. Never went to the doctor for multiple reasons. But I've seen pictures to know that that's what happened. Not fun. Epsom salts became my friend :) When I was about 10 or so I was hoping over these 20cm high slabs of concrete. On one hop I completely rolled my ankle so it folded back onto the shin to the inside. That messed me up for about 6-12 months and was actually pretty damn painful for most of the time. BadApples40 |

Well, I did that 3 times in one week...same toe. Lost all feeling in that toe (right foot if you must know). I saw a doc & he said it wasn't broken...feeling should come back within a year or so. Then he chuckled & told me to start wearing shoes indoors. Feeling did finally come back after 2 years. |

Breaks of mainly wrists and fingers playing sports and riding motorcycles years past. Two weeks ago I rolled my left ankle and heard a loud crack, put me out for a day and a half and the swelling is just now leaving. |

Try vintamin B-6. And if you're not diabetic & you are not allergic to shellfish then also try glucosamine chondroitin. Both are miraculous! Thank you! I take both now, prob not max dose, but I do feel it helps with flexibility. |
