Harmonic tremours at Yellowstone.....eruption may have started!!!

Hot Magma, steamy hot magma, melting hot magma, Hot Ash, burning hot ash, black as sackcloth burning hot ash, Th e gate s of hell are wide open, then, and only then, can we say ....

DOOM IS ON !!!!!

Is there any REAL evidence? Are there any actual scientists saying it's getting ready to erupt? Not trying to steal your doom, but this is serious stuff, it should be vetted.

this would be an awful event but might be best thing for the US. This is a wild card, they don't have control, even though some think they do. This would force us to quit worrying about everyone's else business and concentrate on ourselves.

I know this isn't Yellowstone, but there was a small earthquake of IMMENSE depth in Alaska a short time ago. It was 700 km deep.

“We’re not exactly sure how it [will go down]. No one’s ever seen one,” Farrell admitted. “But it will likely start with a series of smaller events, ramping up slowly to a major eruption. It may take weeks, months; we aren’t exactly sure. We expect lots of swarms and a huge change in hydrothermal system with major ground deformation.”

Swarms in the three range on the Richter scale would give way to legitimate tremblors in the five or six range, according to Lowenstern. It would be a clear indication the crust protecting us from the molten lava that causes Yellowstone to steam away all winter was starting to crack open.

“There would be a lot of big earthquakes and people would feel them,” Lowenstern said, describing the end times. “Magma is not going to come out of the ground without earth breaking. We would be looking for ground deformation on the scale of feet. Hot stuff would start intersecting with the park’s hydrothermal system and that would cause explosions. Prior to the last eruption there were lots of lava flows that came out of the ground. So we could possibly see many small ones before a big one.”

and i do know for whatever reason, yellowstone tends to be active around this time of year for the past 5 or so years.....

I agree with you. I've seen it late winter for a few years now. Question is why? another type of cycle it goes through. I don't know but either way this warrants keeping an eye on and being prepared.

The "danger zone" as you call it will be the entire planet. Immediate deaths will be astronomical, and an eruption of Yellowstone will throw the entire planet into nuclear winter for who knows how long. No food will grow...


The ten inch rise in parts of the caldera have me concerned.

And yeah, Yellowstone Doom is my favorite kind of doom. It bears watching.

I wonder how to numbers this year stack up against previous years 'swarms' around this time of year?

a few years back, it continuously rumbled for about 3 months straight- and then nothin....

dont get me wrong, i like not being burnt to death by lava-

When I visited yellowstone back in 2000 a local elderly gentleman told me parts of the park rose 12 inches in a year, and it was about normal. Landscape in Yellowstone changes EVERY YEAR.

But on GLP it's like 'omg eruption shall we bug out and meet in New Jersey' time every day

Under Lake Yellowstone are DEFINITE HARMONIC TREMORS -- LAVA is moving there right now, for a fact. Whether it blows or not remains to be seen.

Nope, not a scientist, just a person....but Nuclear Winter would happen if Yellowstone erupts. It would affect the entire planet, not just the US.

The fact remains that one day, it will erupt...Who knows when, but one day it will.

you're an ignoramus if you believe there are aliens putting boxes on the planet to control earth's activity.

I have to remind people that Yellowstone could have a significant eruption, without the entire caldera blowing.

It has had many smaller eruptions over the years, including one about 70,000 years ago. Let's hope that if she decides to let off steam, that she does it in a small way.
