Has anyone thought about hydroponics as a way of survival using grow lights fueled by electricity which is fueled by coal, homemade batteries using urine and other alternative inventions not requiring the sun?

I buy half of my produce from two growers who only use water and grow lights in the winter and the sun light in the summer. It's possible to survive with our current technology. It's the reproducing of seeds that will be an issue. We need to keep bees in a green house with artificial heat and light. That will be the trick.

There is an alternative food for humans that gives you almost everything you need to survive. It's spirulina and chlorophyll and you can grow it indoors hydroponically with artificial light. This food source does not require bees.

It's at least a change from all the scaring going on lately.

Actually, with the jet stream blowing west to east, I'd be more concerned about the upper midwest and the plains states. When St Helens blew years ago, Portland got a good dusting of ash, but it was places to the west, like Ellensburg and Yakima, that were the hardest hit.

its not true a volcano only leaks helium prior to explosion you ninny!!
its the leaking helium that causes many of the reactions below the surface.
there is a hightened leak of helium 3 at yellowbelly, and thats strange, and may suggest eruption.

You know there are all sorts of ideas that will work……….. problem is they all cost money and almost no one is going to do it just in case. They talk about it and discuss ideas.

When the disaster happens most are still talking about it. It them becomes almost impossible to get what you need to bring the ideas to life.

I saw this documentary once in the subject, I believe it was called "Super Volcano" and in it they said that even yellowstone erupted, within so many days even laguardia airport in NYC would have so much ash it would have to cancel all flights
