Best Video Game(s) you've ever played??

Man a lot of good picks flying around here!! I had no idea my fellow GLPers were into games like this, I was expecting maybe 4 responses lol!!

Any ways have you heard of the oculus rift? They got virtual reality already, never tried it, has anyone else?

It's a tie between Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence and Resident Evil 4.

One of the best I ever played was "The Longest Journey "and its sequel "Dreamfall"

well maybe with the exception of liberation,which was made in Sofia
all the rest were made in Bucharest
and revelations is a real gem
(apart from the frustrating and impossible missions where I had to use plenty of trainers):)))
the ending of all 7 games are worth the while
and if you endure 25 minutes of credits you will get a surprise at the end
also the game changed
the best games for me in the series were II Brother Hood and Revelation
the last 3 are commercial
you can see the difference in quality
americans make commercial meh games in general
while Romanians make games which are bug ridden and impossible but they are full of knowledge and rich environments and have plenty of surprises and missions

When I played Snake Eater I personally rated it 82%, based solely upon that shitty pseudo-3D top down camera view. But when I played the enhanced Subsistence with full 3D camera view, the game became a serious contender for 'best game ever'.

Resident Evil 4 and Subsistence are absolute masterpieces IMHO. I don't think I've played a better game even on next gen consoles.

My other fav games of all time have to be Resident Evil and Tomb Raider on PSX.

Finally, someone mentions shadow of the colossus. My all time fav.

While it may not be the "best", I should add Populace on the SNES as you literally got to play as G O D.

Want to build a nice paradise? Go ahead. And then you can flood the fockers and wipe them out.

Wow! No Resident Evil 4 on your list, even though you like 1 - 3 + Dead Space?

the best game is that you are playing every day, best graphics and best story

Get it, you won't be disappointed.
