Shepard Smith and Megyn Kelly are the only people I can ever to watch on Fox. They are a breath of fresh air, especially when not talking points.

If I have to watch anyone else on Fox, it's like forcing myself to get through it, all the while fighting the urge to kill myself in the process.

If I don't effectively block out parts at times, my veins and arteries start pulsating. That's when I wish I had tranquilizers, or imagine I am somewhere else.

But Shep is just fine. If he is one of us, that would be pretty special.

I remember about three years ago he said something on air about "what is happening in Syria"? they shut him down quicker than I'd ever seen, of course there was massive slaughter going on.

I also remember him on the bridge with Phil Keating? During Katrina, they were dumbfounded as to how it was being handled and they got shut down then too!

For some reason, all I have to do is see him to feel repulsed.

If I don't change the channel fast enough before he starts speaking, it's like suddenly being sucked towards a wormhole.

Except today for a split moment. As the camera was showing his profile from afar, I became transfixed, imagining that I was watching a cartoon character I could not place.

Unfortunately, as I was busy musing about which one he reminded me of, they showed him face front, and my stomach turned.

This has NOTHING to do with his looks (except the profile part). It has to be a Pavlov's Dog conditioning response that I cannot stand to see or hear him.

Not quite the same with O'Reilly. As soon as I see him my neck twists and arches like a turkey trying to reach something 'over there'. And I silently chuckle. As soon as he gets out half a sentence, all I start hearing is my own mind chattering about how strange he is.

I also thought of this 3 p.m. time frame once myself, and wondered if it might have something to do with moms leaving to pick up the kiddies at school.

So while FOX is letting Shep insert some 'hmms', less people are around to hear it and start wondering why. By the time they return home and finish tending to the children, Cavuto is on to continue FOX's dialogue.

This way Fox can show they allow 'alternative' viewpoints during daytime hours, in the spirit of whatever-it-is they purport to uphold...which still eludes me.

I have never been a 'regular' Fox viewer other than Shep's show -and that only lasts as long as he's allowed to be himself...

...His facial expressions, quick WTF pauses, and out-and-out 'I don't know about this' pseudo-queries make watching him rather fun.

Shep does throw out innuendoes on his show and seems to be doing so more often the last year. I also have been wondering if he would be fired or "taken out" because of it. Lately, it seems several news reporters have been leaving due to the requirement of spinning stories. I think some female from CBS just bolted for the same reason.

If nothing else, Shep is entertaining to watch.
