I thought it came out that windows already had an embedded back door? I'm pretty sure everything after 3.1 had it installed and Microsoft made $$$ for their cooperation.
Quoting: Anonymous Coward 55541538 Exactly! And you know what galls me? The same Microsoft characters have vociferous outcrys against the NSA as if they want to protect your privacy! Yeah, fat chance! A word of warning about the "non-viral" computers. They do the same thing, but it's incorporated in their operating system, not a virus you catch. One example is the "location services". Therein is a catch 22 because if you use your iphone, for navigation, you need that service. But they can also track that at the other end. Right now I feel safest with Linux, although nothing is perfectly private. At least I have control over my computer without fearing and walking on eggshells that any Tom, Dick or Harry can drop something on my computer with a simple "drive-by" visit by accident to a nefarious site.
