If it was hijacked by someone other than the flight crew, wouldn't one of the pilots have attempted to send out the code for a hijacking before the flight was completely taken over? (I know maybe there wasn't enough time..). This makes me think that one of the flight crew took this plane somewhere.

Doesn't explain how a company could put 20 of its employees on the same flight. I mean I could go on and on but you should get the gist.
