Malaysia was originally searching for the craft in the waters along the plane's original flight path. Then, they began searching in the waters to the West of Malaysia.

Then, an Air Force officer admitted privately that they tracked the plane heading West after it's transponder was turned off, but then denied it publicly the next day and said they are not sure.

Then, someone in China releases some bogus, grainy satellite images and states "this is a potential crash site" (as it was reported on CNN). Then, the next day China says "Those images were released accidentally and are not images of the crash site.

Then, the Wall Street Journal publishes an article quoting anonymous sources within the U.S. that the engines were transmitting data for up to 5 hours after the plane disappeared according to data received by U.S. investigators. But Malaysia denies that report (and I'm sure U.S. officials will also deny that report).

To put it simply, it means the governments of Malaysia and China are lying. I think this should be obvious to anyone who the I.Q. of at least a chickpea.
