Re: The real doom
We wandered and gathered food until someone conceived the idea of farming. With the newfound stability of a reliable food supply we could build cities. After millennia of struggle, here we are. At least that is the official version - but that requires you ignore physical evidence such as the aluminum breastplate worn by a general of the emperor of the Chinese State of Qin. The Emperor ruled from 246 BC to 221 BC.(He was the first emperor.) We all know aluminum requires electricity, rather large quantities of it, far too much for batteries. So how can this happen? The simple answer is the previous civilization.

The current paradigm is to ignore these artifacts. Which is, of course, ludicrous. A theory that requires you to ignore evidence is a theory one needs to discard. A valid theory incorporates ALL of the facts. It has to. We are deducing the very fabric of reality and there is no room for illusion, no matter how pleasant at the time. Gradualism would have us ignoring physical evidence. Evidently they believe the old gods are the good gods.

Having agreed we want the truth, let’s start looking at evidence. Most of us have seen the crater in Arizona, at least in pictures. There are very many more craters. Over 10,000 – yes, ten thousand, in the Carolina Eddas alone.

We have enjoyed a long peace. It wasn't always like this. There is strong evidence the Bronze Age catastrophe was caused by meteors. Over 40 cities were destroyed. The number of Early Bronze Age sites destroyed in this interconnected catastrophe is thought to be more than 500. Some put forward the idea a volcano did the destruction but it was pointed out that the area is too large for that, French archeologist Dr Marie-Agnes Courty took samples and found they contain tiny spheres of a calcite material associated with meteorites. Carbon14 dating on the other side of the world coincides. The Maori tell of fiery stones falling from the sky and burning the land. Carbon dating of archeological residue of the forest fires placed it at that concurrent time. Evidence shows Earth is bombarded by a particularly dense storm of meteorites over a couple of centuries. This visitation occurs roughly every 2,500 years. 2200-2000 BC and 400-600 AD was the last occurrence.

Mankind is living the Greek myth of Sisyphus. He labored eternally in hell rolling a rock uphill only to have it roll back down as he reached his goal. Our rock is reinventing civilization after each major catastrophe. How else do you explain anomalous artifacts No space aliens, no time travelers – just a periodic thumping back to the Stone Age with archeological and geological artifacts to support that claim.

The main stream media acknowledges few large meteors. Almost everyone has heard of the strike in Yucatan near the village of Chicxulub (which means “tail of the devil” in Mayan). This ancient impact crater is 105 miles (170km) in diameter. The second most famous is the Barringer Crater, sometimes called meteor crater, in Arizona. This might infer the Barringer crater is the second largest but it is not. On a quick list I drew up it actually came in tenth.

1. Chicxulub, Mexico – Crater is 105 miles diameter
2. Manicouagan, Canada – 62 miles in diameter
3. Kara-Kul Lake, Tajicistan – 16 mile lake located in 28 mile circular depression.
4. Clearwater Lakes, Canada – 20 mile and 13.7 mile craters
5. Mistastin Lake, Canada - 17.4 miles
6. Gosses Bluff, Australia – 15 miles
7. Aorounga Crater, Chad – 11 miles (might be part of a chain)
8. Deep Bay, Canada – 8 miles
9. Lake Bosumtwi, Ghana – 6 miles
10. Barringer Crater, Arizona, US – 0.75 mile

This list only covers the 30% of planet Earth that is land.

The near-simultaneous fall of the Old Kingdom of Ancient Egypt, the Sumerian civilization in Mesopotamia and the Harrapan Civilization of the Indus Valley coupled with the calcite spheres is the smoking gun proving we need to look at the sky and be afraid. The anomalous artifacts tell us to be very afraid. We are defenseless. This is an insane policy. Genetic evidence suggests that all humans alive today, despite apparent variety, are descended from a very small population, perhaps between 1,000 to 10,000 breeding pairs about 70,000 years ago. We qualified for protection as an endangered species. Our tenuous grasp on life will cause us to join the dinosaurs if we do nothing about this.

John Gleick, Author of “The Life of Science of Richard Feynman”, wrote some unusual advice Feynman gave to his students:

the chance is high that truth lies in the fashionable direction. But, on the off chance that it is in another direction. . . who will find it?. . . It will not do you harm whatever to think in an original fashion. . . it's very important that we do not all follow the same fashion. Because although it is 90% sure that the answer lies over there. . . what happens if it doesn't?

I liked the Sisyphus reference.. otherwise same old shit.

It's a new game now my friend, better learn how to play all over again.

Because we have never made it this far, and bets are on. Where it stops, nobody knows....

Oh, but we did. We had some stuff off planet, not sustainable. The "feathered" serpent was feathered because it flew.

the event 70,000 years ago came close enough to put us on the endangered species list. Just a tad different and story over.

edit - 2 events here folks, it happens a lot
