Proposed Iraqi law 'legalises rape'
A contentious draft law being considered in Iraq could open the door to girls as young as nine getting married and would require wives to submit to sex on their husband's whim, provoking outrage from rights activists and many Iraqis who see it as a step backward for women's rights.

The measure, aimed at creating different laws for Iraq's majority Shiite population.

Re: Proposed Iraqi law 'legalises rape'
Well we certainly did a good job there (sc). Under Saddam all males and females received free education to a university level. Christians were tolerated. Women could work as doctors, lawyers etc. They had very good and free healthcare.

What have we left them with? Prisons that are larger than the ones Saddam had, torture chambers that are larger than Saddam had. Depleted Uranium littered farmlands. Sharia law.

Guess we really SAVED them A cynic might say we actually saved the US dollar as Saddam was threatening to sell his oil in other currencies.

We never intended to "save" anyone. We invaded so we could fuck the place up.

Mission Accomplished.
