Well the bible says to not be unequally yoked, and a pastor will likely not want to marry them in the church. He will wed 2 equally yoked though.

It's not the end of the world, and the bible also says that the Christian will likely be a good influence on the other one.

Hmm... I don't know, I am very confused at this moment what should I do. If I can't make him convert I don't know what I will do, I love him very much, but I am very confused. :(

Can you talk to your pastor? He would probably want to counsel you anyway before you get married.

I know how you feel, it was a deal breaker for me when I was single. I wanted them to at least have a belief in christ

I don't have my own pastor, but I think my church would be against him not being baptized... I think he would baptize himself for me, but I don't want to force him into anything, I want him to be sincere. But thank you for your answer. You have a beautiful horse. hf

Re: Question for Christians
One last thought-- you said "he would baptize himself", not sure what is meant by that.

He should have a biblical understanding of what baptism is, and you do know that the Holy Spirit baptizes, just him doing a ritual would not be sufficient.

I think that is what you mean.

Sorry, I meant he would get baptized. I agree with you, I want him to be sincere and believe in Jesus, I don't want fakery.

Re: Question for Christians
Yes, I had the same issue with my spouse, who was a believer but had not been properly baptized and after a few years together, we became equally yoked.

think about this ..you dont marry because of emotions and feelings they are part of the growing process as lovers but not the final thing. the reason you marry is because you find a partner who will be an example as a good man and a good example of God that his child may be part of a godly family..that is the purpose of marraige not because you like someone and your heart is beating pita pata.. when those emotion goes you see the person for who they are ....can you deal with that when that times comes?

oh and by the way unequally yoked is not confined to ajust a religious status it is the outmost belief in God and his statutes and commands...because some people feel its alright because both are lets say pentecostal but they are not in agreement.

what do i mean? a guy or gal will join a church just to get married

or a person may have been catholic from birth but does not obey God and is rebellious

just two eg.

1 But these took this counsel among themselves, that they would leave the multitude of the heathen, and go forth into a further country, where never mankind dwelt,
42 That they might there keep their statutes, which they never kept in their own land.
43 And they entered into Euphrates by the narrow places of the river.
44 For the most High then shewed signs for them, and held still the flood, till they were passed over.
45 For through that country there was a great way to go, namely, of a year and a half: and the same region is called Arsareth.
46 Then dwelt they there until the latter time; and now when they shall begin to come,
