Quoting: Anonymous Coward 55854931 In one chapter it's okay to fuck your daughters, in another to sell woman into slavery, and still another to kill people for wearing two different types of fabric. 800 pages later there's a whole new set of guidelines condemning most of the stuff they did to get to where they are as a religion. Namely, the aforementioned fucking, slavery and murder. Was once a wholehearted religotard. They lost me with the hypocrisy. In some measure I agree that the OLD Testament often is ridiculous. For example, God saved " Lot " as a supposedly worthy man among Sodom and Gomorrah. Yet when the homosexual men in the town wanted to have sex with his "male" visitors ( who were angels in disguise ), he instead OFFERED HIS DAUGHTERS to them, certifying him as the WORST father of ALL TIME, and unworthy to be saved !! What a disgusting CREEP Lot was. |

What has Christ saved you from, and how did He do it? That is, what is there about dying sinless flesh and shed unadulterared human blood from Jesus that would affect anyone's sin before YHWH? Do not waste our time with suppositional and irrelevent answers. |

God didn't create man to be mans' companion. This is why homosexuality can never be considered as sanctioned by God. God created woman for man to have sex with. Not other men. |

You're so full of Genesis Chapter ONE verse 27!!!! "So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them." It was the LORD God who came along and took the androgynous being and split it into 2 separate genders. God in Chapter One made a being with both genders in one. "Whoever shall find out the true sense of the Book of Genesis ought to take care not to divulge it…If a person should discover the true meaning of it by himself, or by the aid of another, then he ought to be silent, or if he speaks he ought to speak of it obscurely, in an enigmatical manner, as I do myself" - (Rabbi Moses Maimonides – Jewish Theologian, historian, Talmudist, philosopher and physican. 1135-1205) beebee |

Without God's forgiving grace, I am truly imperfect and unholy. There is nothing I can do in and of myself to ever correct a wrong I did or to prevent myself from never doing a wrong or unkind or selfish act in the future -- I can try to live a good life but I will never succeed as I am an imperfect creature-- only through grace can I be made whole and worthy. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 40043935 What do you do when you are "whole and worthy" other than to talk? [Hint: "Faith without deeds is dead."] |
