In a war, could you pull the trigger?
there are stories out there about cops who even though they knew that death would occur if they did not pull the trigger, didn't. same goes for soldiers. Their moral compass would just not allow it and they would rather someone else did the dirty work.

honest question, could you?

is it because you are too dumb to think before you shoot, or because you know someone has to have the intestinal fortitude?

very impartial though. I could actually see this being easier. That is why air force have low levels of ptsd, it just seems like a video game to them, for the poor bastards on the ground it is another story

I've often asked myself this question and my answer is this: only if the person on the other side of the gun was a threat to my family and friends' or innocent people's lives. I couldn't do it in a war that didn't directly have an impact on those things.

I'll do it. We can do a big group hug all over the planet, in every nation. It can be televised. I will be the guy to push the button. It will be awesome... =)~

darn tootin!that is why most military guys look at snipers as weirdos. that is straight up murder and it takes a special personality to stalk and kill a human for days. being a good shot is the easy and anyone really can be taught that part.

When my life is in danger, all my emotions are shut off, and my brain speeds up. So yes, I believe I could shoot to kill another human being.

Of course, as soon as the danger is over, I would be a total mess.

Americans are honest people, a lot of others cannot deal with it.

that is why I respect Americans to this day and I waste time on this forum.
