We are on the same page OP. There are just a lot of players in the game. I think China is being used by TPTB as fodder to kill the dollar. Russia doesn't have the military to go toe to toe with the US face to face, but our president is a traitor, our currency has been under direct (if hidden) attack for decades, and our Achilles Heal is our dependence on technology and fiat money. One rouge high altitude long range high payload commercial airplane could wreck havoc with both. One container/freight ship could disguise the missile of doom.

Whether it is an EMP or a single city attack now is almost irrelevant. Neither the tech nor the dollar will withstand either. We have never been so vulnerable.

Maybe DEFCON 2. You have to assume the worst when a long range bomber has disappeared under dubious circumstances. The political climate, the personalities, the severe turn over in Generals and Admirals, the high level advisors are all women with chips on their butts, the gay agenda, and the lack of military leadership. Then you toss in the dollar, China, the debt, congress, then Crimea, ....

DEFCON 1 indicates an impending shift from strategic to tactical. If USA assumed DEFCON 1, the counter parties to the conflict would also make such an adjustment.

DEFCON 1 means it is all over. Done. We really aren't there yet, and we would be at a strategic disadvantage if we appeared to be at that point.

I can post links to Russian bombers testing UK and US air Space, boomers off the east coast, warships in Cuba, and Chinese claims off military action against US over sea islands.

I would concur that report of Russian Bears testing the RAF response times because for the last 3 or 4 nights we have heard the afterburn bellow of RAF or RAF/USAF Intercept jets flying out over the North Sea, I live in the North East of England in Middlesbrough, and the bellowing howls are really loud and long, never heard anything like this since 1980's
