It was reported on the TV news here a couple of hours ago that the Malaysian government had apparently told the Indian government to suspend the searches they were carrying out in the vicinity of the northern corridor. It is now thought the plane had gone in the direction of the southern corridor on the map, possibly towards Australia.
Sorry I don't have a link yet, but I will post one if it becomes available.

They meant they weren't looking for a crash site at the moment because of the intel they're getting, suggesting that the plane's landed somewhere. My bet's still on Pakistan. my bet is on pakistan too. If they DID ask India to stop their search of the northern corridor, it would only be to stop a blow up between india and pakistan. And for anyone who believes that the passengers are somewhere safe having their needs taken care of... There is not one scenario here in which that would be an efficient way to deal with it. They are all very, very dead.
