I think they definitely want us to think they can monitor everything we say, type.. think etc.. Even if they do not yet have a system in place where they can truly monitor us all.. THEY WANT US TO THINK THEY CAN - so it serves to mentally shut us down and control dissent. We think twice now before we speak out.. because we don't want to be added to some list.. or attract unwanted attention.

So in a sense, Snowden is their Spokesperson. Telling us what They want us to think. They don't care if we are pissed off - that is part of it too.

I'm sure there's monitoring from the NSA, but as you pointed out they aren't as observant as we are led to believe. It works for them, because most Americans that buy into the fear of being spied on tend to self censor themselves.

I agree that snowden is just a sign of USA/NSA incompetence. They can't actually monitor things the way they attempted to, so they are instead just settling for the illusion.

Also, doesn't it seem odd that Snowden went to China and Russia to seek refuge? This conveniently helps set the stage for the current conflict between America and Russia.

Snowden is like a slave from an opposing enemy camp, that the enemy purposely lets "escape" into your camp. Your army's camp welcomes the slave into your company, grateful for the information this slave is gladly giving up. You are getting info on the large size and power of the enemy - and you decide it is in your best interest to retreat. BUT - the escaped slave was really a plant - and used as a pawn to release to your camp the info the opposing enemy WANTED you to think.

Well I was thinking the other day went I went to use my google voice to text. Now the govt can't have much better voice data mining than google and that shit sucks.
