My mother has been diagnosed with myeloma. She has to go back to the doctors next week to find out what stage, and what treatment options are available. My older brother is handling her doctors at this point, but he is going in the hospital for a hip replacement on April 8th, and will be out of action for a while.I will have to take over at that time.
My mother is 91 years old, has congestive heart failure, and is on oxygen. She only weighs 78 pounds. IMO,she needs to do alternatives, as I believe the chemo will kill her a lot sooner than the cancer. It is up to her, as to what she wants to do. She is quite competent, and can make her own choices.

I ask for prayers from you all. This horrible news is on top of other bad family news we have got today. My daughters are devastated over this.I feel like I am in the Twilight Zone.

HI OP,

sending love and positive thoughts your way. We are never ready to lose those we love and it is never easy. In so many ways it makes no sense how someone who has been such a major person in your life can suddenly not be there. I know for me it is hard to wrap my head around it. Think positive and just do your best to be there and be there for her as much as you can.

lots of love

At age 91, dieing if any kind of cancer, is dieing of 'natural causes.'

no chemo, no radiation

Let her end with dignity and some pain meds

Re: Prayers Needed For My Mother, New Update Page 1.
You need to go and look this up for yourself...

Search Lugol's Iodine and your mother's condition.

Apply it both topically and take it internally.

Topically, it will completely regenerate the skin and underlying layers with repeated application over time.

Internally, start slow!

Most Americans ingest a ton of bromine in their diets through bakery products. (It is banned in every country but the USA.)

When you first start taking iodine, it is going to bind with all of that stored-up bromine, as well as fluoride and other heavy metals, which can be a bit rough.

So start with one drop in water once a day. Then move up to one drop twice a day, and so on.

Only seven - ten percent of what is applied to the skin will be absorbed into the body, which is way too slow.

As an aside, no NOT put a bandage on top of the topically-applied Lugol's. This will trap too much of it against the skin for too long, and it will result in skin itchy/painful irritations. Just brush it on and let it dry. (It will stain clothes if you get dressed too fast.)

Apply 2-3 times/day to affected areas.

After a few weeks, you will see the unhealthy spots start to peel off. Keep applying the Lugol's! It will penetrate down only as deep as the cancer goes. New, beautiful skin will emerge when all is done, without scarring.

Again, do the research yourself!

IF she is faithful in God, and cleaves onto him and his only son Jesus Christ, she'll be fine, even if she makes it or not. But i do hope and pray that she does.

My grandmother has been recently diagnosed with stage 1 colon cancer, and is a bit resistant to natural treatments; she would rather have them cut it out, than change up her diet, take the herbs and supplements, and risk the cancer spreading. I understand her fears, though, her mother and grandmother died from it.

I am glad to hear that he is competent, plenty within her age range are not, and there minds are set in stone. You can probably still get through to her about natural treatments. DO NOT LET THEM GIVE HER ANY CHEMO OR RADIATION! It will kill her even faster than the cancer itself, and make her more miserable to boot.

This sites community seems to consist of mostly nasty, low minded racists, but you and your mother have nothing to do with that, and i want her to be as healthy and happy as possible in her physical being.

Trust in God. Take it from a sinner.

My mother doesn't believe in alternative medicine, but her younger sister does. i hope my aunt can convince my mother to try.

We are all sinners, and fall short. God is loving, kind, and merciful.

You, my friend are not alone!

My heart and prayers go out to you..
No amount of words can heal, or make the situation better, but to know that others care sure helps.

We each make our own choices… Accept it, encourage it, and embrace it.

A couple of experienced I have gone through which have helped me….
I lost my brother in a motorcycle accident when I was 18. I was on the back of the motorcycle and can remember it like it was yesterday (That was in 1983).

My grandmother passed away at 92, at her residence, my mom by her side, she had congestive heart failure and Leukemia.

Then my dad, he was 82 and had a gleoblastoma tumor in his brain, which caused seizures. We made him as comfortable as possible, during his last days on earth. He passed away at home, 30 days later, I was by his side, it was comforting to know that he was at peace. It was a tough process, we struggled, but being there, when he passed away, totally changed my perception of death. I realized that death is a natural process, everyone experiences it in different way, but it is still natural. I do not wish it upon anybody, but lets face it, none of us make it out alive… Be there, comfort them, be strong, and tell them that it is ok.

Reach out to those who are close and embrace this experience, and understand that it is just another part of life, we all struggle with. Help your daughters understand, so they too are prepared for when you are done here on Earth, that they are better able to manage that time, as your mom, did, with her parents and her grandparents did before her too.

Remember, she gets the better deal, she has a ticket out of here, it is us who get to remain behind, she will be in a better place, and waiting there for you, and yours.

Ask and look for spiritual guidance too, within your faith.

9 deep breaths in through the nose, out through the mouth, focus on your breathing, Peace. Be Still, and know that it all will be ok, because it is not my will, it is not your will, but rather 'THY WILL' be done!

God Bless.
Be Strong.

Many prayers for you and your family! I have not had the chance to read the other posts but my daughter is a nurse in oncology and she says they never reccommend chemo for anyone past the age of 70. It is of NO use and only hastens their death. She also told me before that there is not one nurse who would do chemo if they had cancer. Trust in God always--lean not on your own understanding!

I treat my maladies with natural medicines. If I ever got cancer, I would only do the alternative route. Even if it would buy me more time if I took traditional treatment, the quality of life is not there.I have seen what the traditional treatment does to family and friends. I would rather have quality than quantity.
My mother has to decide what she will do. She has to go back to the specialist next thursday.

Blessings to you and your family in this most difficult time. My only thoughts on the protocol is that if she cannot deal with it, say chemotherapy , which I think would be negated by virtue of her weight, anyway, she might really have to have admits to the hospital simply for that. If so, 'they', the doctors are often not very nice and absolutely try to get pAtients family members to not even use chest compression for those with heart conditions as 'they' tell you we will crush her bones doing this.

Wait till you get their diagnosis and whatever protocol is designed (or not) for her and continue to pray over it. Your heart is there and I believe you will, then, have a better sense of letting her have the best of whatever time the Lord has in mind for her and at home.

Hello Tiger1, hugs
I'm so sorry to hear of the trying times you and your family are going through.
I wish I was there to give you a hug and shoulder to cry on.

What I have learned from the trials I've been through during the illness of a loved one,
is to totally give the situation to God. Pray to Him often, and trust in Him as He knows best.

As long as you continue to seek His Kingdom first, you will know that the outcome is how He planned it.
Let go and let God love them..........through you. Every moment becomes a
memory later, and a precious memory if love is spent in the time you are with them.

You are a kind, caring and sensible woman and I will pray that God will give you that
unwavering faith in Him that will keep you strong in His Spirit.

Take pictures and celebrate life with them now, with ALL your loved ones, while they are still here.

God's Peace be with you and your family.

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made
