Thank you my friends. I am so torn up right now, I don't know if I can stop crying. I am not a drinker, but I think I have a bottle of Kahlua in the downstairs cabinet, that has my name on it. :( I think a nice tall glass of Kahlua and milk with lots of ice just might be replacing my tea, real soon.
Quoting: tiger1 Go for whatever gets you through, I know you are in a terrible moment right now.
Right now, prayers are being sent from me to Our Lord God for Marian, your mother.
Her name is the name of the mother of Jesus.
No one knows when this kind of illness will strike them or someone close to them. Any of us could be the one facing the diagnosis or the one planning how to cope.
So ongoing prayers from me to God about your mother.
Please let us know what she decides to do. At her age, the myeloma may be less aggressive, I don't know. Find out what you can about how her age might affect prognosis with and without chemotherapy.
Years ago, an elderly person I knew had chemo. Had a terrible time. But he is still alive 15 years later with no lasting side effects.
