I am so saddened to hear of your report Tiger. I have prayed and will pray for her. I am glad also that she is competent to make decisions. Bless God for THAT. I hope that whatever decision she makes that she will have Peace and have the Lord's comfort with NO PAIN.

And, I pray that you will be given whatever you need from the Lord, strength, wisdom and peace. Please remember to take care of yourself too.

Great and most Holy Father, the giver of life, the alpha and the omega; In the name of our Lord and savior Jesus Christ, we humbly come before you and ask that this woman's diagnosis is not a terminal illness. We pray and ask that you will bless her and her family with healing. Through Him, all things are possible. In all things we give you praise. We thank you. We ask for your will in our lives, and our prayer and request that is laid at your feet be of good, and within your will.

IF she is faithful in God, and cleaves onto him and his only son Jesus Christ, she'll be fine, even if she makes it or not. But i do hope and pray that she does.

My grandmother has been recently diagnosed with stage 1 colon cancer, and is a bit resistant to natural treatments; she would rather have them cut it out, than change up her diet, take the herbs and supplements, and risk the cancer spreading. I understand her fears, though, her mother and grandmother died from it.

I am glad to hear that he is competent, plenty within her age range are not, and there minds are set in stone. You can probably still get through to her about natural treatments. DO NOT LET THEM GIVE HER ANY CHEMO OR RADIATION! It will kill her even faster than the cancer itself, and make her more miserable to boot.

This sites community seems to consist of mostly nasty, low minded racists, but you and your mother have nothing to do with that, and i want her to be as healthy and happy as possible in her physical being.

Trust in God. Take it from a sinner.

Sorry to read about that, but looks like you have 8 pages of concern and prayers heading your way, and the Glp affect too. :)

Sending positive energy for your family and your mother. I doubt aggressive treatment will do any good at all, or even alternatives, at this stage in her life. Quality of life is as, if not more, important than quantity imho. Pain control, comfort and love are what's needed now,ie home hospice care, so she can live this part with dignity and transition with love. <3

My heart goes out to you and your Mom. We all must face this reality and it's never easy. It's okay to mourn. It's the process. My Mother passed at 90. She is always in my heart and I speak to her often.

For a year, Mother was very sick before she passed. I mourned her suffering daily. I felt helpless and often wondered if I were doing enough to make her comfortable.

Mom didn't want to die. She worried about me too much.She wanted to make sure I was happy before she passed. The very best thing you can do is reassure your Mother that you are great and happy!

I'm sure that's difficult news and emotionally, spiritually people praying for you and your mom and fam will absolutely make a difference in this ordeal we must all endure. I know, my mom pass last fall and I was certainly in the twilight zone. Even so, prayers sent.

No amount of words can heal, or make the situation better, but to know that others care sure helps.

We each make our own choices… Accept it, encourage it, and embrace it.

A couple of experienced I have gone through which have helped me….
I lost my brother in a motorcycle accident when I was 18. I was on the back of the motorcycle and can remember it like it was yesterday (That was in 1983).

My grandmother passed away at 92, at her residence, my mom by her side, she had congestive heart failure and Leukemia.

Then my dad, he was 82 and had a gleoblastoma tumor in his brain, which caused seizures. We made him as comfortable as possible, during his last days on earth. He passed away at home, 30 days later, I was by his side, it was comforting to know that he was at peace. It was a tough process, we struggled, but being there, when he passed away, totally changed my perception of death. I realized that death is a natural process, everyone experiences it in different way, but it is still natural. I do not wish it upon anybody, but lets face it, none of us make it out alive… Be there, comfort them, be strong, and tell them that it is ok.

Reach out to those who are close and embrace this experience, and understand that it is just another part of life, we all struggle with. Help your daughters understand, so they too are prepared for when you are done here on Earth, that they are better able to manage that time, as your mom, did, with her parents and her grandparents did before her too.

Remember, she gets the better deal, she has a ticket out of here, it is us who get to remain behind, she will be in a better place, and waiting there for you, and yours.

Ask and look for spiritual guidance too, within your faith.

9 deep breaths in through the nose, out through the mouth, focus on your breathing, Peace. Be Still, and know that it all will be ok, because it is not my will, it is not your will, but rather 'THY WILL' be done!
