Thread: FAMILY MEMBER IN MEDICAL PROFESSION PLACED ON EMERGENCY DUTY

I do not want to say too much, because this family member asked for complete anonymity.
We live in the western part of the US. This family member is a physician with additional duties at the teaching hospital where he is employed.
Earlier today he was identified as "Essential Support" whatever that means. With this ES moniker comes significant additional duties over and above patient care, administration activities, responsibility for residents in training, etc.
This family member has been required to remain at his facility 24/7, with no leave for trips home, for family and the like.
The facility operates under a standard Threat Level matrix used by many key facilities deemed to be of high importance to local/regional/national healthcare. The three level matrix has been moved to Level Three, hence my family members required commitment. No phone calls out, no trips outside the facility. Kind of like lock down. The facility even went so far as to preemptively release a statement to an unsuspecting press stating all hospital operations are moving forward normally, which seems very suspect.
With terrorism, Ebola and solar activity occurring all around us, this may be the final puzzle piece to fit neatly in order to derive a clear overall picture as to what the hell is going on in our country/world right now.
Please add any intel you may have encountered since 6 am PT today. It could be vital.

"These are children who had a normal course of illness...and had a clinical recovery, and both of these children became ill in a day or two," Dr Sprecher continued. "They came back and were found to be febrile and [PCR-]positive again. Both children had some neurologic signs. The feeling amongst the virologists is...the virus gets into some parts of the body with immunologic protection, like the central nervous system. Hello CDC, are you reading this?

That has the potential to change everything we assume now about negative tests after being treated for Ebola.

Bad thing is, who knows what it could be doing to the Nervous system. We've had reports of people in the final stages becoming irrational and almost zombie like. That provides us with it's definitely hitting the Brain and Nervous system.

BUT...

What if this thing is mutating to make itself communicable but not detectable? In the nervous system, it comes out for a bit, then goes back in. The person is positive, then negative, positive again spreads it, then negative again, then positive again spreads it some more and then the person dies?

Isn't that what herpes does? Live in the nervous system and break out every now and then? I don't know much about virology, but could Ebola have met up with a bad case of genital herpes and developed the same ability? I can just see people five years from now: "Cant leave the house today. My Ebola is acting up."

Rabies Vaccine Protects Nonhuman Primates Against Deadly Ebola Virus

[link to www.niaid.nih.gov]

[snip]

Researchers from NIAID and Thomas Jefferson University, in Philadelphia, developed a vaccine based on the established rabies virus vaccine that, when tested in mice, proved safe and provided protection against both rabies and Ebola infection. As the next step to that success, the researchers tested three different types of the novel rabies/Ebola vaccine in nonhuman primates to determine their protective effect.

In their investigation, the results of which were published online May 30, 2013, the researchers tested a replication-competent rabies virus vaccine, a replication-deficient rabies virus vaccine, and a chemically inactivated rabies virus vaccine expressing Ebola glycoprotein. Fifteen rhesus macaques, divided into four groups, were immunized intramuscularly with one of the three vaccines or a control vaccine. All of the animals were followed for both rabies and Ebola-specific immune responses. After 42 days, all of the nonhuman primates were transferred to NIAID’s biosafety level-4 facility at Rocky Mountain Laboratories in Hamilton, Montana, for challenge with the Ebola virus.

Results and Significance

All three vaccines produced potent immune responses against both rabies and Ebola. In terms of protection, the live replication-competent vaccines provided 100 percent protection following challenge with the Ebola virus. The replication-deficient and inactivated vaccines afforded 50 percent protection. According to the researchers, the protection of the immunized animals against Ebola virus infection was largely dependent on the quality of the B-cell driven immune response rather than the quantity of the response. These humoral immune responses as well as high glycoprotein-specific antibodies were particularly helpful in controlling Ebola virus infection after immunization, the researchers wrote.

The results of these studies further support the concept that a successful Ebola vaccine needs to induce strong antibodies to the virus, according to the researchers. It also demonstrates that a dual-purpose vaccine to protect against rabies and Ebola virus is possible and, perhaps, more readily marketable. The research team is pursuing the inactivated rabies/Ebola vaccine for use in humans. The live vaccine is being developed for use in protecting wildlife at risk of Ebola virus infection in Africa, which could also serve to prevent transmission into the human population.

Next Steps

According to the researchers, advance testing among nonhuman primates involving higher levels of Ebola virus glycoprotein and, perhaps, an additional immunization dose could bring the protection rate to 100 percent. In addition, the research team is using the vaccine platform to develop a multivalent filovirus vaccine and other vaccine candidates against high consequence pathogens.

The survival of filoviruses in liquids, on solid substrates and in a dynamic aerosol

[link to onlinelibrary.wiley.com]

Abstract

Aims:  Filoviruses are associated with high morbidity and lethality rates in humans, are capable of human-to-human transmission, via infected material such as blood, and are believed to have low infectious doses for humans. Filoviruses are able to infect via the respiratory route and are lethal at very low doses in experimental animal models, but there is minimal information on how well the filoviruses survive within aerosol particles. There is also little known about how well filoviruses survive in liquids or on solid surfaces which is important in management of patients or samples that have been exposed to filoviruses.

Methods and Results:  Filoviruses were tested for their ability to survive in different liquids and on different solid substrates at different temperatures. The decay rates of filoviruses in a dynamic aerosol were also determined.

Conclusions:  Our study has shown that Lake Victoria marburgvirus (MARV) and Zaire ebolavirus (ZEBOV) can survive for long periods in different liquid media and can also be recovered from plastic and glass surfaces at low temperatures for over 3 weeks. The decay rates of ZEBOV and Reston ebolavirus (REBOV) plus MARV within a dynamic aerosol were calculated. ZEBOV and MARV had similar decay rates, whilst REBOV showed significantly better survival within an aerosol.

Significance and Impact of the Study:  Data on the survival of two ebolaviruses are presented for the first time. Extended data on the survival of MARV are presented. Data from this study extend the knowledge on the survival of filoviruses under different conditions and provide a basis with which to inform risk assessments and manage exposure to filoviruses.

[snip]

Excerpts:

Survival of EBOV and MARV dried onto solid substrates over 14 days

An initial recovery experiment showed that no virus could be recovered from any substrate stored at room temperature (results not shown). All results reported are for +4°C. Neither MARV nor ZEBOV could be recovered from metal substrate at any time.

[snip]

Inactivation rates of MARV, ZEBOV and REBOV within an aerosol

All three filoviruses under investigation could be detected after 90 min in a dynamic aerosol.

[snip]

From the total decay rates, the theoretical decay (as a percentage of original titre) over time was calculated (Fig. 5). The time taken for 50% of the initial virus concentration to decay (i.e. the half-life of the virus) is 14, 15 and 24 min for MARV, ZEBOV and REBOV, respectively. The time for 99% of the initial virus concentration to decay was estimated as 93 min for MARV, 104 min for ZEBOV and 162 min for REBOV.

Comment: Very sciency read, obviously. But worth it.

Right - I believe the preponderance of evidence is there are several real Ebola cases per large city in the US.

Interesting that one website that put up a story about DHS deliberately seeding the US with Ebola patients went down - after only two views of the page in question. Took them hours to get the site back up.

^^^^An aside to this article about a website being taken down.

Several years ago I was taking a course in network operations - lots of military people from all services, except for the Marines.

We had a slick lawyer from Cybercommand come in. I posed a question to him and the rest of the students:

Imagine you were in the military during the Nixon presidency. We know he had an enemies list. Imagine the Internet also existed at that time.

You were given orders to take down a certain website by a couple of bloggers called Woodward and Bernstein. Something about a place called Watergate.

Would you take down that website? That was my question to the troops.

About a third said they would do it, orders were orders. A third looked confused, and the remaining third was "Hell no, we won't go!"

The Major lawyer tap-danced and looked real uncomfortable - like this very issue had gone across his desk for a legal opinion.

I asked this question as I saw what was being taught to be used against our enemies in the AOR could very easily be used against the truth here in the States - and I wanted these enlisted and commissioned personnel start thinking NOW how they would deal with illegitimate orders.

Interesting read from Abel Danger I thought some of you would appreciate:

[link to www.abeldanger.net]

Snip: If you’ve been following this subject of vaccines, then you will know that the truly mad visions and projects are those of the elite and the think tank-funded ‘futurists’. Melissa Melton from Truthstream Media explains:

“Questions like what happens if a mosquito bites an infected person, then flies off and bites someone else. Can Ebola spread then? Bill Gates certainly seemed to think so when he was funding research into mosquitoes as vaccine deployment systems.”

Conversely, concerns that the virus could be used by as biological weapon are warranted, considering the depth and pedigree of bioweapons programs, particularly those ‘top secret’ military lab facilities in, or run by the US, which the US is still very reluctant to disclose.

Is the African Ebola the spillover, either accidentally or intentionally, into Europe and the US – from a bioweapons lab?

Ebola outbreak: Australia has been asked to help more, says Tony Abbott

Australian health workers have not been sent to west Africa pending an ‘iron-clad’ agreement on evacuating them if infected

Australia’s allies have asked for more help in the fight against the Ebola outbreak, Tony Abbott has said. The prime minister said requests from the US, UK and Sierra Leone would be “carefully” considered.

The prime minister told MPs he discussed the response to the Ebola outbreak with Barack Obama during a telephone call on Wednesday and that Australia had been asked to help more.

“Yes, partners and allies would like us to do more,” Abbott told parliament.
