Anonymous Coward User ID: 35040083 United States 03/22/2014 08:42 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Ebola is an extremely deadly virus, but because it's an extremely deadly virus, It often kills the host before it has the chance to spread. So I doubt that it will spread very far. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 35040083 So what we need to do is quarantine the area of the outbreak, and allow the victims to die out, it sounds messed up, but that's the best way to prevent a major outbreak. |

How many flights out of Guinea have there been since first infection? And to how many locations? And where did all of those people travel to from there as their final destination? See the problem with your logic... |

See the problem with your logic... Ok so the quarantine idea wasn't very good. But still,IMHO, the virus is literally to severe and deadly to be able to spread effectively/Globally. Plus not much is known about how the virus fairs in different climates, since it rarely makes its way out of that region of Africa. I could be wrong though, but at this point I don't think it can make a global impact. |

Lusafire User ID: 8385411 United States 03/22/2014 09:39 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Ebola is a hemorrhagic virus manipulated with HIV in order to kill faster. HIV breaks down the human immune system and makes people more susceptible to infections. The Marburg virus surfaced in around 1967 when outbreaks of hemorrhagic fever occurred simultaneously in laboratories in Marburg and Frankfurt. (in labs?) it had a 28 to 80% fatality rate. Ebola was first seen in 1976 with 50 to 90% fatality.(depending on which report you read) Since the 80's and the discovery of HIV(which i really thing its been KNOWN about for much longer) the fatality rate of Ebola is MUCH higher. The new strains of ebola seem to work much faster than it did before. I think this current "outbreak" is just another test being preformed to see the beast at work! Maybe if they turned the economy off and then turned it back on it might run better. Works for my computer. |
