Nobody knows but what are the chances of this spreading to first world countries?
 Quoting: FistOfFreedom

I'm going to say there is a good chance of it getting out of Africa. there are lots of mining engineer's and management from all over the world a lot of them will be in the process of bugging out or hunkering down right about now. The Canadian guy that "doesn't" have Ebola was at a mine site in Liberia before he went home. if it keeps up for a few more days more and more non Africans will be getting the hell out of there.

Liberia reports suspected Ebola outbreak unconnected to Guinea

Monrovia, April 3 (TMNews) - The epidemic of Ebola does not stop. Liberia has identified a new suspect case of hemorrhagic fever that, unlike the previous ones, is not related to Guinea, a country near where an epidemic has broken out. This was announced by the Ministry of Health of Liberia.

The victim, a hunter in the region of Nimba, (east of the country), has "never had any interaction with people suspected of being infected with" Ebola and "has never been in Guinea, an isolated case," told AFP an official of the ministry, Bernice Dahn.

According to the same source, 14 suspected cases have been identified to date in Liberia, two of which were positive for Ebola virus, and unless the hunter, all were recorded in Lofa County in the north.

Quick map I added this epidemic to so we could see comparison.

ebolagraph

This gives us an idea where we are so far in relation to other outbreaks.

There are still international departure flights out of CKY (Conakry, Guinea Airport) for various destinations on the African continent:

(That link is constantly updated)

Any passenger is only one -- or at most two -- connecting flight(s) away from Europe, the Middle East, Asia, or North America.

African Fruit Bats MIGRATE!

I got curious about the bats people were eating and were cautioned not to eat because the bats carry Ebola

The bats they mainly eat are a common and relatively large species called Fruit Bats. These bats all gather in one part of Africa during the winter when there is an abundance of fruit there... Then they migrate hundreds of kilometers in various directions!

from the above article;

But where do the bats go once the glut is over? In the 1980s, DW Thomas of Aberdeen University used sightings to estimate that these mammals travelled some 1,500km during the course of a year. But when Heidi monitored their movements, she discovered this to be a major underestimation.

That's what happens when you throw sanity to the wind in preference of multicultural "sensitivities", and open your doors to every variety of "refugee" the world has to offer - they bring their filthy and repugnant customs and behaviors with them...

There's a reason why those troglodytes haven't changed in the last 5000 years - they are very happy with their customs and practices, and have no desire to change them.

YOU, and only YOU are responsible for maintaining the balance of power between you and the rest of the semi-sentient beings in this world. You cannot disclaim or delegate that responsibility; it is a function of being a living, breathing "adult" in this world. If you can't manage yourself on those terms, someone else *will* manage you on their terms. Your terms are irrelevant. Buy a rifle; prepare to defend yourself. If you don't, what happens is *your* fault. Period.

Yes, how backwards of Africans to kill people because of superstition.

They should be more advanced like us and kill people to get their land and resources (war) or because they're an unwanted inconvenience (abortion).

This isn't good. They already believe it is going to be spreading to Liberia because of commerce...

This is from aljazeera.com

"Ebola, one of the world's most virulent diseases, was first discovered in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) in 1976 and the country has had eight outbreaks.

The most recent epidemic, in the DRC, infected 62 people and left 34 dead between May and November 2012, according to the country's health ministry.

There are fears it could be used in a biological weapons attack.

According to researchers, the virus multiplies quickly, overwhelming the immune system's ability to fight the infection.

A medic in Monrovia told AFP on condition of anonymity that Liberia was at considerable risk from the disease.

"We have a 90 percent chance of having cases in Monrovia because about 80 percent of goods on the Liberian market come from Guinea," he said."

New Aljazeera article states that France is now on high alert, as it has 44 people it is monitoring in country because they have been exposed to known cases in Guinea

Okay, now you have seen the reports that have said that dengue is a close relative of Ebola virus. Dengue is common here in Thailand, it makes it round yearly. MMS kills it within 12 hrs. No remaining symptoms. I have had it myself, have given it to others as well with the same result, all symptoms gone with in 12 hrs. It works. MMS=sodium chlorite when mixed with an acid such as citric acid produces chlorine dioxide, a water purifier. It kills viruses on contact both internally and externally.....

And it's just going to keep spreading.

This is so ugly.

These are only the cases that are being reported.

How many cases do you think are floating around where people are just convalescing in their own space rather than risking being quarantined and dying away from their families and everything they've ever known?

Shitty, scary situation.

Hopefully they keep it over there.

Sorry, that makes me sound like a real asshole but I hope it doesn't jump the Atlantic.
