This is a link to an african news site, with some interesting articles, I thought were informative from the local perspective. [ link to m.abc.es] The combination is not good: a total of six weeks in which the Guinean authorities have not confirmed the Ebola outbreak and now the geographical dispersion of infected by an outbreak with a mortality of 90 percent. Organizations are already talking about a problem without precentes, as did Monday Doctors Without Borders (MSF). The government, meanwhile, calls for calm. But we are almost 80 people that lost their lives in Guinea. The authorities and humanitarian organizations encounter problems to contain the spread of the virus because of the dispersion of cases. "We are fighting an epidemic of a magnitude not seen in terms of distribution of cases", said the coordinator of MSF in Conakry, Mariano Lugli. The organization also reported to have been working in other recent outbreaks of Ebola, most remote regions of Central Africa, but added that Guinea has to contain the virus in a number of locations that are often hundreds of miles away.
