Tom Clancy wrote in "Command Authority" EXACTLY what is happening in Crimea now!

clancy has always been ummmmm spot on with all his novels..Most of them anyways but how was the entire book? have not read that one..

That's almost the entire eastern half of Ukraine.

If Russia wants any power or utilities in Crimea, they will have to annex more of Ukraine. As it is now, all the roads to Crimea go through Ukraine. Since nobody did anything against Crimea, they will most likely push forward within the year (sooner rather than later).

That's the thing. It's not. Just an undisclosed, brief illness. Google "clancy tom cause of death" and you won't find it. Just things like, no ones talking, unexpected, and a whole list of theories.

Clancy was killed before the book was released. It hit GLP then as a major "they took him out". It is likely that the book had a major rewrite before it was published.

I got the book the day it was available, and it is playing out exactly as the book says.

In the book the president of Russia is a former KGB agent, essentially still on a mission, who took over Russia.

Jack Ryan, a former US spook is president of the US.

The US team digs up enough dirt on the criminal (assassin) background of the president of Russia that he is politically forced to back down.

A "Benghazi" scene takes place where the US embassy in Ukraine is overrun. It is worth buying the book to read this chapter. (spoiler in next line).

Two former US special forces guys are on a "delivery" nearby and hear gunfire. They charge, and turn the battle and rescue the ambassador... except hundreds of enemy solders advance. They are losing. The President gets his 3:00 am phone call for air support...

President Obama already said that he will get very tough with Russia if Putin decides to take more territory than Crimea. Obama is a strong protector for the world and will easily stop Russia using his greatness.
