OP, you doubtlessly won't believe me, not living here long, but there's some strange things in the mountains. Some are visible, some aren't.

You may see three toed reptile tracks larger than a human's foot. Take it for what it's worth, laugh it off, whatever. If you do see them, recall someone alluded to them.

There's things that are invisible that walk thru the treetops, breaking branches. If you view them with the sun at the right angle you'll see--yeah, true--a "Predator" like shimmering as they pass.

There's also "tree-men". These things look like young trees, but walk. yeah, sounds crazy, but they've been reported in Crestone, Paonia, the Black Forest. Doubtlessly they're elsewhere, I'm just relating what I know.

And, yes, there's Bigfoot, which is real and no joke or fantasy. There's also ufos, and with ufos come aliens. The skeptics can hoot all they want, it's how things are.

Watch out for hypothermia. Even summer rains will give you that at altitude. It'll also take you awhile to adjust to the altitude here. Cut yourself some slack for safeties sake and plan on multiple redundancy of backup gear in case your basic survival skills don't do the job. It's not a fault of your's, these mountains are hard on Marines, even. No lie, just fact.

Good luck and stay alive!
