Let's ignore the fact that over 500 different cultures on earth all have creation legends that claim white sky gods came from the heavens and taught them civilization, math, law, language, etc. And they also carved it into granite.

Ummm, no. But good try, the situation is so much weirder than that and there are more than just two races in the universe.

So if they want to leave, they can settle down until we get to their planet because their technology is garbage.

If they want to stay and help, get to work on fixing the mess left and they can learn a couple of things.
