FBI raids USA Brass in Bozeman Montana. | |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 16304172 Bulgaria 04/01/2014 01:05 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | NOT the FBI? Possibly the EPA was too busy investigating the use of DU Depleted Uranium ammunition authorized and used around the world by USA troops under Bush and Obama. I am sure the EPA will shut down the Executive Branch of Fed Government for their illegal use of this Biological Weapon that will go on Killing People for Hundreds of Thousands of Years. |

Last fall the Gallatin City-County Health Department reported 22 people, all current or former USA Brass employees showed elevated levels of lead in their blood. In September of 2013 the US Department of Labor cited USA Brass with 10 serious violations and proposed more than $45,000 in penalties and fines. Occupational Safety and Health Administration, OSHA, workers found the company overexposed workers to lead and failed to provide basic safeguards to reduce lead exposure, including breathing protection and protective clothing." If true, the company needs to provide sufficient protection or it's employees. There are plenty of other (much bigger) ammo manufactures that do maintain safety standards that aren't being raided or shut down by big brother. Thread: The US is being brought down through LAWFARE. How is the request to not poison your god damn employees lawfare? |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 15358850 United States 04/01/2014 02:55 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Reminds me of the Radium Girls. The Radium Girls were female factory workers who contracted radiation poisoning from painting watch dials with glow-in-the-dark paint at the United States Radium factory in Orange, New Jersey, around 1917. The women, who had been told the paint was harmless, ingested deadly amounts of radium by licking their paintbrushes to give them a fine point; some also painted their fingernails and teeth with the glowing substance. davvi User ID: 3677166 United States 04/01/2014 03:01 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | So if USA Brass is being investigated for lead contamination, why isn't the US Military being investigated for depleted uranium poisoning? Quoting: Bear Drinker Just sayin' All of these so called raids and/or "fines" that our companies pay are warnings in disguise. All it means is that "X company" did not donate enough money to political campaigns in the last election year. And let this be a warning to other companies in the future. There is absolutely no company in this country that isn't corrupt and is allowed to conduct business in peace without investigations, blackmail, or some sort of lawsuit from some group based on discrimination.... |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 10872394 United States 04/01/2014 05:37 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | To get lead into your bloodstream, you must either eat it, or breathe in large quantities of lead dust. Lead dust comes from dried out car batteries. I have breathed my fare share of it from handling batteries at the recycling center where I work. It leaves a sweet taste in the back of my throat. I have never breathed in enough of it to make me sick, nor have I ever had an adverse reaction to handling lead. I could lick my hands afterwards if I wanted to and not be capable of ingesting enough lead residue to even register. The minute traces of lead that may or may not be found to be present in spent ammunition cases is not capable of causing any such problem as the "authorities" are alluding to. This is a blatant attack on brass casing supply, using the already existing attack on lead as a justification. One lie procreating further lies. And no, you very obviously will not find big brother attacking the companies that are supplying the ammunition for the vast array of federal agency contracts. Until those contracts are filled, that is. |

We were tipped off by a viewer who told us federal agents were on scene by 9a.m. Throughout the morning we saw agents from the FBI, EPA Criminal Division, and Bozeman Police come and go from the Bozeman business. Around 12:30 p.m. Agent Bert Marsden identified himself as the resident agent in charge of the Environmental Protection Agency's Criminal Division in Montana. He told NBC Montana agents were expected on scene through the evening, and gave a short statement about the investigation. "We are investigating alleged violations of environmental law. An investigation takes as long as it takes, and I can't provide any details as it relates to that," said Marsden. "America will never be destroyed from the outside. I do not know how much more the American people can take. I am almost to the point where we need to stand up to these government thugs. We need hundreds of thousands of citizens to make their voices heard and march on Washington. We need hundred of thousands to march with their weapons in a show of solidarity to the Constitution. If we had this many people march on Washington I would be they would shit in their pants. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 56119806 I call bullsh!t! The residue on spent brass is a combination of carbon and lead. Ask any reloader. That's why you sort brass outdoors or with good ventilation, and dump your cleaning media outdoors. All the grey dust from the case cleaner is the same residue. |
