ThesonofhendriX User ID: 1546575 United Kingdom 04/02/2014 06:55 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Why make a big deal of it. Its a load of stale smog blown up off the continent. People in China have to breathe this every day. Also note, that it makes a change from breathing radio isotopes blown over in the jetstream from the triple meltdown at Fukushima. Life is a dream and we are the imagination of ourselves. |

These are the killer smog other nations have to deal with and still no one died. Nothing to see here. Move on |

dzijane User ID: 56315889 United Kingdom 04/02/2014 08:51 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | "pollution" is a little vague. Surely they know what pollutant it is? Quoting: Anonymous Coward 56327756 Sahara dust was so thick on my car you could scrape it off with a finger nail, gritty, its all over the windows. Suddenly out of the blue we have a double whammy of "Sahara dust and 10 scale smog. We are in Windsor Berkshire and its been unpleasant for a few days, I have had itchy eyes and had to sleep sitting up all the time or my asthma choked me, it also feels yukky. I don't believe we are being told the real reason for this sudden outbreak of dust and bad air. To all the people who are demanding death evidence, it doesn't work like that, it takes a few days or even weeks to damage a body enough to kill it off. Few will die immediately, but plenty will sicken and A&E will be full soon. Take care and stay indoors most of the time is about the only advice given. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 3557643 United Kingdom 04/02/2014 08:52 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Considering the is a fluke rare sandstorm related situation, and last week was fine, I don't think people need to worry. Next will go back to normal. China, on the other hand, live like this DAILY. And that's not even sand related. |

Beijing =approx 175 -unhealthy to all. London approx 160 - unhealthy to all. Life is a dream and we are the imagination of ourselves. |

I've been walking around today and i kept getting wafts of different smelling fumes, like tyres, or diesel or petrol or just plain old industrial pollution smell. Trust your nose. Life is a dream and we are the imagination of ourselves. |

[link to en.wikipedia.org] Was I the only person to actually look it up? Would have made for a more doomie headline. Wonder why they didn't mention it? |

Mate, I'm in Kent and I can tell you, you can fucking taste this shit, it's gross. It gathers at the back of your tongue when your outside and leaves your exposed skin feeling slimy. Fucking annoying as it's otherwise a lovely warm sunny day, perfect for getting shit done in the garden, but every time I go out to do anything that horrid taste sends me back indoors. Not only that, but the "smog" we have now is nothing like what it was back in the day. Its chemical composition is different, meaning we don't see it as fog-like so often. But it's still there. |
