JAPAN ON HIGH ALERT... Nikkei Plunging
The Nikkei is plunging -100 already. Watch the Nikkei, don't take your eyes off the Nikkei. damned

North Korea on Tuesday declared that it was not bound by a moratorium on testing long-range missiles, and increasing fears that it would launch an intercontinental ballistic missile.

Re: JAPAN ON HIGH ALERT... Nikkei Plunging
I wouldn't worry about it... a correction in markets worldwide, not to mention commodities, has been overdue... volitility has been at all time lows, outside the US many markets have surged, and commodity prices were going through the roof as well.

A good healthy correction was needed.. and it makes it nice to bottom feed and get stuff cheaper too.

I wouldn't worry about Korea.. if we leave them alone, they will leave us alone. There are many out there who don't seem to understand that you can't go into nations and force change cultures and expect them to welcome us with open arms. If the powers that be want war however, so it shall be, but I don't think it will be with Korea at all.. I'm seeing Iran in the spotlight, perhaps china and Russia getting involved to protect Iran.. a world war if the US tries to invade Iran... exciting times, huh?

Here's what I think. There's going to be a huge crash and to divert our attention away from this economic crash, certain cities will be attacked. I think this is inevitable. Creditor's need to wipe the slate clean.

Re: JAPAN ON HIGH ALERT... Nikkei Plunging
indeed, I've read about the yen carry trade problem, and I agree that the The entire global financial system is on the verge of disintegration, I just don't think it's going to happen this year. Here's the figure I keep a close eye on.. the outstanding credit market debt...

[link to www.pixpond.com]

[link to www.federalreserve.gov]

Basically the outstanding debt is now rising 1 trillion every 3 months and accellerating... it absolutely must keep accellerating at this pace... the instant it slows, trouble is brewing... the instant is spikes downward, if that's even possible, depression, bare minimum.... the house of cards falls, and the entire global paper system comes to it's knees.. keeping in mind this is all engineered and those at the top know exactly what they are doing.

I actually think we could go as long as 2010 before we collapse, though it's unlikely.... by that time the outstanding debt would have to be 70 trillion dollars or greater... I don't see how that's possible without the fed purposely devaluing and inflating, and I don't think they will... the banksters, that run the world, make their money by engineering booms then depressions following the boom, by restricting credit and money, creating a money supply shortage, creating massive bankruptcy, foreclosures, and a drive down in asset prices. The wealthy then come in and buy up these assets when they are dirt cheap... afterwards, the fed comes in, injects the system with massive liquidity to jump start the system, and you see substantial inflation...

It's like mass bankruptcy, then reorganization, with transfer of wealth in the process. It's absolutely brilliant really. The public has no idea why it's happening and it can be blamed on anything or anyone to set focus to just about any new global agenda.

I know many of you might think that the Nikkei means nothing but I've been a Nikkei watcher now for several years and have seen the patterns that occur before anything major goes down. The Nikkei took a plunge in the first hour of trading falling -115, word in Japan is that they believe North Korea will launch a Missile and that they are also ready to respond to anything North Korea attempts to do.

Watch the Nikkei, watch it like a hawk tonight as it will show us of whats to come. damned

Japan on high alert as North Korea threatens missile test

[link to www.ft.com]

Japan was on a state of high alert last night after a senior North Korean official declared that Pyongyang was not bound by a 2002 moratorium on testing long-range missiles.

The North Korean threat follows days of escalating tension prompted by evidence that Pyongyang is preparing to test a missile that could reach Japan and parts of the continental US.

Ri Pyong Dok, a North Korean foreign ministry official responsible for Japan, told Japanese journalists in Pyongyang, Kyodo news reported, that a long-range missile test launch "is not bound by any statement such as the Pyongyang Declaration".

Mr Ri was referring to an agreement signed in 2002 between Kim Jong Il, North Korea's leader, and Junichiro Koizumi, Japan's prime minister, in which Pyongyang promised not to test long-range missiles.

John Bolton, US ambassador to the United Nations, said members of the Security Council had begun "preliminary" discussions on how to respond to any test.

"We are discussing a range of things that fall within the Security Council's domain given that this launch would constitute a threat to international peace and security," Mr Bolton said in Washington.

US officials said yesterday that the US had activated its missile defence system but some analysts questioned whether the system would be capable of hitting an incoming missile. Bryan Whitman, Pentagon spokesman, said: "The US does have a limited missile defence system but I'm not going to get into specific alert status or capabilities."

Dominique de Villepin, the French prime minister, yesterday said the international community should respond to a North Korean test with a "firm and just" response.

A US official on Monday said Washington believed North Korea had fuelled the Taepodong-2 missile, a procedure that is difficult and dangerous to reverse, suggesting that a missile test could be imminent. Some media reports have suggested that bad weather over the launch site in the north-east of the nation could be delaying the launch.

Pyongyang caused an international crisis in 1998 when it fired an earlier version of the Taepodong missile over Japan into the Pacific. The event was a catalyst for Tokyo's decision to develop a missile defence shield in conjunction with Washington.

Both Mr Koizumi and Shinzo Abe, Japan's chief cabinet secretary who has made his career being tough on North Korea, said this week that Japan would respond sternly to any missile test. Taro Aso, the foreign minister, told a television programme that if a missile entered Japan, it would be regarded as an attack.

hey pockets..

this was posted at a gold forum.....

We can only hope that N. Korea has a premature ejaculation using one of our own stolen guidance systems so we can track it ourselves and summarily shoot it down in a global public embarassment to N. Korea.

There must be lots of guys in the military waiting up all night with baited breath hoping for just such an opportunity.
