RTS REDUX User ID: 1482388 04/03/2014 01:10 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Looking at Iquique, Chile on Google Earth we see that they're flanked to the east by mountains that are about 2 miles away at the greatest distance from the sea. Quoting: Terrapin Traveler Those poor folks are totally exposed to any tsunami headed their way and there is really no place to run. I wish them the best. I'd be grateful there was high ground so close. This last quake looks like it might have been centred in those mountains though (going by USGS) it was about two miles from the beach, just S. of Iquique in what looks to be the foothills location on Google maps: [link to maps.google.com (secure)] |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 56042392 my mistake people I offered it a morsel and it's trying to hump my leg. You people are so dumb you include flowers on your currency. How the hell did you idiots loose Alaska to America ? Weak tree huggers that's why . lol Canada is known throughout the entire solar system? Really? You are proving the Stupid American stereotype. That's why you people are stupid. If you spent any time on this site you would know most people are aware we are not alone . Half of us are one reeses pieces from being godlike . Anyway Canada sucks and is stupid, and is about as boring as a niagra falls tour on a Monday afternoon in -30 degree weather . you are a classic case of projection. lol. You are lacking in grey matter but are in denial about it, and so you project that cognitive dysfunction onto others. Do you honestly think that extraterrestrial life thinks or perceives in the same way that humans do? Do you think they would know individual countries? I am very happy that you are not enamored of Canada. The fewer ignoramuses that come to visit the better. Niagara Falls is gorgeous but it is actually low on the list for what is spectacular about Canada. If you can't appreciate nature, you won't 'get' it. Besides being incredibly geologically stable (bringing this discussion back on topic) due to the Canadian Shield, Canada is also extremely gorgeous. But perhaps you wouldn't be able to see that due to the log in thine eyes. |

Hope there was no landslide. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 55493132 United States 04/03/2014 01:56 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | what is strange I don't remember Japan getting hammered Quoting: Zombie Daddy in a Box this hard after the 9.2 EQ in Japan. If Japan had got hit this hard the FUKU Plant would have Be Toast and all of it with it ? The Japan EQ had a 7.1, 7.4, 7.9 and a 7.7...all on the same day as the original. ok thank you then they had several 7's and Chile has only had 1 7.6 so far ok then my mistake. |
