Ok, I just woke up and haven't read the replies, anyone else noticing the aftershocks (if that's what they really are) are a little bit higher than the aftershocks from the 8.2? By like a couple of tenths of Mag?

I very uneasy about these crazy compacting of events lately.

I often ponder how we're going to traverse the stars when our computers thus far, can hardly run for 24 hours without getting fouled up and needing a restart
from all the rotten junk they have interjected into the programing
and that's not cool

One would hope that by the time we get to Star Trek we've shut down all government sponsored spyware, malware, trojans, and backdoor access that also screws everything up.

I'm inclined to think they mean Japan is in preps for a tsunami as a result of the 8.2 in Chile.

Those poor people are getting hammered by quakes...they must be absolutely petrified.

Nothing really bad happened, and the deads were caused by heart shocks.

Yes that is something that I distinctly remember, the aftershocks were strong and there were a crazy many of them!!

We never counted heart shocks. I'm surprised you guys have. Over here, three times as many people died of a heart attack in the three weeks after the quakes than usual. But these deaths were never counted.

We only counted a death, if a brick fell on your head etc.

When it comes to the sun's effect on torrential events, I wonder if it is heat or magnetism. Some believe that it is magnetic pressure.

In 2011 mar. 19 there was a supermoon. Aprox 2 weeks before the moon a volcanic eruption occurred in Japan. There was very little damage, but 2wks after the moon the earth quake that caused the devastating tsunami happened.

I read a non-scientific theory that because the moon was so much closer to the earth it created a magnetic pressure that gave the earth a squeeze between the moon and the sun, which resulted in these events.

I would like to note that I also believe that there is a kind of resetting period during the new moon, or really the day after. There were no major events on the 31st of march, but there were on the 30th and the 1st. The new moon was on the 30th, so maybe shortly after there is a kind of lull period of low pressure. (?)
