So refreshing to hear these stories!
From my experience in nursing homes a great number of men would come daily and sit with their wives. Made the room into a lounge room and just be beside them. Even when dementia or illness took their minds, they still would come. Like the notebook .
I lost my faith in men before that job. I was able to let someone in after that.
Not a lot of women showed up like the men did. Actually none came daily.
