Re: What a 91-Year-Old Man Has Been Keeping in His Basement
The Feds usually wait until after the artifact owners die and the collection gets passed on to relatives to swoop in and confiscate. They do this because they know that the relatives won't remember what was in the collection so the Feds can "retain" pieces without the family knowing.

This case is different. They want the knowledge this old man has for pieces in his collection. Why?

He worked on the atomic bomb in WW2. He knew some of the smartest people on the planet. He traveled all over the world "collecting" things. What was he searching for?

I'm thinking he got an artifact that he didn't truly understand the implications of. The Feds caught wind of it, and went into Operation E.T. mode.

This whole "cultural heritage" nonsense is just the cover story for their operation to gain information from the old man on an item he has, to confiscate it from him, and to make sure he keeps it a secret.

The old timer knows about state secrets, most likely respects and enjoys being the center of the Federal Government's attention after so many years.

THEY smell money....they are like vultures closing in on any crumb of value.....so you can not just love to travel and God forbid you get interesting souvenirs......bought and traded for. most of it gotten long before all the new laws I'll bet too!

makes me sick. I'm not going to be here too much longer and it pains me to imagine the same kinds of things happening to me.....I have a very eclectic collection myself

I was just about to say that everyone should be thinking about the fact that he worked with Oppenheimer...that's a big point of the story that seems to be getting glossed over.

They didn't put those tents up and send 100 agents just to look at some old bones.

Did anyone point out the most interesting part of this article....

"The 91-year-old is a veteran, former teacher, and was part of the Manhattan Project which created the atomic bomb"

Perhaps this has something to do with what they were looking for.

I am appalled that this is what we used to call America

" because they believe some of his artifacts may violate several treaties and could have been “acquired improperly.”

Seriously look around your house and think does any of it violate treaties and could have been “acquired improperly. ??

Remember a few years ago when the Justice raided Gibson guitars claiming that the wood they imported from Madagascar was processed and while it is legal to import under some circumstances it it illegal under others

"We had a raid," he said, "with federal marshals that were armed, that came in, evacuated our factory, shut down production, sent our employees home and confiscated wood."
[link to www.npr.org]

Do you have antiques? Thrift store finds? old books from your childhood? Do you know where Grandpa got that WW2 souvenir? Don't worry the federal government will gladly stop by, guns drawn and help you sort everything out.
Ever day hundreds of pages and rules and regulations are produced by our out of control government.

Look at CT and gun registration and NY & California's sun laws. They are ex post facto laws and constitutionally invalid; a detail conveniently ignored.

Article 1, Section 9 Clause 3:

No Bill of Attainder or ex post facto Law shall be passed.

And no treaty can over rule the US constitution.

According to the jack-booted Feeb in charge, it's “our duty to ensure they are properly identified, safeguarded, collected and stored in a manner that allow us to eventually to return them to those Native American and other nations and cultural groups who have legitimate rights to ownership.”

I thought it was their duty to solve crimes, arrest criminals, break up drug rings and stop mob violence. Aren't any criminals left for the FBI to investigate? This operation has spanned months, and if you look at the photos, they've set up tents and a mobile command center. This is costing the Feebs (us) MILLIONS of dollars. These are the people that we rely on to solve crimes, and keep criminals off the streets.

The fact is that this sort of stupidity is rampant from the federal to the state and local level. We are so screwed.

If you haven't, read duFontaine's thread on LAWFARE -

This is a prime example.

Thread: The US is being brought down through LAWFARE.

Our own government is attacking us in our homes. Also, read Harvey Silverglate's book, "Three Felonies a Day". None of us are immune to this - unless you happen to be a politician or GS12 or higher.

If real is what you can feel, smell, taste and see, then 'real' is simply electrical signals interpreted by your brain.

I'd be willing to bet that word got out that this 91 year old man is about to spill the beans on some big time gov. secrets since he is short for this world.

He has the artifacts to back up his stories so no one would be able to refute his claims.

The FBI dick weeds blew in before old man let the cat out of the bag.

They're probably lobotomizing him in those tents as we speak. Poor dude will never get to tell his secrets now.
