FYI
Someone on another website contacted USGS directly below the response

C----, The link that you supplied [link to www.isthisthingon.org] does not show maps. The website "isthisthingon.org" appears to link to valid seismic data supplied by the University of Utah Seismograph Stations (UUSS), the United States Geological Survey, and UNAVCO. UUSS is experiencing data telemetry difficulties with some of their seismic statiosn in Yellowstone. Some of the blocks of color indicate the telemetry problems

Same small burps showing up on most of the seismos this morning.

Sure enough, once again this correlates with spikes on the GOES X-Ray Flux:
[link to www.swpc.noaa.gov]

And possibly the Magfield: [link to www.swpc.noaa.gov]

I think I may concentrate on the ANDESITE/MAGNETITE geological angle, to find out if Solar Weather can be playing a part here.

geyser temps,
cam watching,
chemtrails,
and
haarp,

I've now got to learn how to read an X-ray Flux Chart

gee thanks, lol

today's observation,

we're missing an EQ

when the "POP" signal show up EQ's seem to follow

[link to earthquake.usgs.gov]

[link to quake.utah.edu]

but two EQ's are showing up, here's another one

[link to quake.utah.edu]

Madison River recorded both

[link to quake.utah.edu]

Lake recorded the missing first one at 09:27 UTC, but not the second recorded one at 10:03 UTC

[link to quake.utah.edu]

nothing showing up close at 09:27 UTC

so were was this EQ?

[link to quake.utah.edu]

now to go study X-RAY FLUX

a Ystone Tard's work is never done

J. Ind. Geophys. Union ( April 2011 )
Vol.15, No.2, pp.61-76

Geomagnetic secular variation anomalies investigatedthrough tectonomagnetic monitoring in the seismoactivezone of the Narmada-Son Lineament, Central India

Analytical and numerical modelings have progressed considerably since the 1960’s to provide powerful tools for calculating the piezomagnetic fields for various types of pressure sources ...

...The piezomagnetic effect associated with tectonomagnetism or seismomagnetism comes into play as soon as stress build up starts and hence introduces long-term precursors that can be detected through systematic repeated geomagnetic measurements carried out at regular intervals (days, months, years etc.)for extended periods in a specified region...

...Another mechanism proposed to explain tectonomagnetic anomalies is based on the circulation of electric currents as a result of variable potentials induced by fluids percolating through solid rocks such as electrokinetic effects ...However, the electrokinetic effects would be weaker than the piezomagnetic effects in normal geodynamic conditions...

...Laboratory experiments have revealed stress sensitivity of piezomagnetism is of the order of 10-3 MPa-1for stiff rocks such as basalts and andesites...

... Non-magnetic sandstone pillars have been installed as stable benchmarks over which magnetometer sensor is placed for total geomagnetic field measurements...

...For measurements of total geomagnetic field intensity T, two drift-free and absolute measurable Proton Precession Magnetometers (PPMs) were used...

...The observations were taken early in the morning and afternoon hours to avoid extant overhead ionospheric current system...

...DATA ANALYSIS
The geomagnetic field is subjected to various kinds of variations which originate in ionosphere and magnetosphere as well as within the Earth. However, these variations can approximately be treated as being spatially spread over areas of local extent. On the basis of this approximation, it is possible to detect changes associated with tectonomagnetic phenomena in the Earth by taking a simple difference between the magnetic fields observed simultaneously at two or more stations...

...In addition Stacey & Westcott (1965) have suggested that at least initially it is necessary to avoid completely auroral zones, where ionospheric currents are highly variable and strong gradients occur in geomagnetic disturbances...

I am TOTALLY convinced that the signal is coming from Atmospheric energy above the park...which is highly charged at this time.

Just the Auroras I noted on the fly could then be seen to correlate closely to traces on space monitors...

...just as the series from this morning do.

These POPS are most likely discharges of energy in relation to sudden 'charging' from such forces.

Could they cause EQ's? Studies seem to indicate that these EARTH/SOLAR forces are closely related.

Are they being looked at in the Park? This I do not know...except they we ARE seeing it.

I know I am not a geologist or any other scientist, but I can read in black, white AND GREY.

Consider this.

If I walk across a rug on a cold winter day, and you are doing the same, when we meet to shake hands, we might each got shocked.

If we DON"T TOUCH...this does not mean we are not charged with static electricity, it just means we have not MET to discharge each other.

This was the Auroras I witnessed, and, the POP/PULSE seen on the helicorders.

Dare I coin a new word for convenience? Because I'd propose that what's happening at Electric Peak is: "ElectroMAGMAtism".

The seismos transmit the data via radio.
Solar flares interfere with radio.
The last x-flare caused a radio comms blackout iirc.
The most likely explanation there is the solar flare x-rays are causing telemetry errors that lokk like spikes on the graphs, although I keep an open mind.

Exactly!

There is NO precursor, and no harmonic or echo of any kind following that clean pulse. Once the energy is discharged, the event is over.

Thought of in another way, using gas, All it takes it ONE molecule of gas to cause a spark.

If there were free POCKETS of gas in an environment which is laden with oxygen, a series of explosive events could occur in both a magmatic scenario, or even a just one filled with gas alone.

Why we are NOT seeing harmonics or explosives before or after the fact, at least to me, proves that this is energy build-up being cleanly discharged.

or, maybe i a just deluded by fuzzy logic?

As for the 'going bonkers'....I suspect that the clean pulse is showing WHERE the MOST energy is...not as a CATALYST, but as a INDICATOR of where things are most hairy.

Relevant...

One day after the Lake seismo showed a loud quake and started freaking out with increasing levels of 'something' (February 4th, 2014), Borehole B208 was upgraded or repaired regarding a VSAT Receiver:

[link to pbo.unavco.org]

Maintenance log: "VSAT_RECEIVER - HFHEAP08B02563274H - 32569 - 2014-02-05 - 12:01:00-07"

Here's what the Lake seismo looked like the day before: [link to www.isthisthingon.org]

AS SOON (to a few minutes) as the new VSAT receiver was installed... the weirdness stopped completely on the Lake seismo: [link to www.isthisthingon.org]

Something is affecting the seismo communication network and causing bad interference with the telemetry.

Yes, the seismo's are radio connected, but the transmitters will be above ground with a cable connection to the sensor down the hole. There may be something in the idea that high static discharges via the short cable could take out the electronics in the sensor. That would explain the sudden failure of multiple units a few days ago. Could also explain the problem, (hopefully a damaged attenuator and NOT realistic readings), with the Lake Butt seismo.

Short duration "ticks" or "spikes" could be caused by R.F. propagation interference due to sunspot activity. The regular ticks could easily be static - slow charge build-up, sudden discharge, regular "rinse and repeat" cycles.

NICE!!!!!

Perhaps it is like an anti-energy burst, which temporarily eliminates the seismic signal being recorded.

Then, on the traces where NO seismic signals are occurring, it still gets translated as the pulse it is.

Is this what you mean?

Interesting.

Yeah but the actual plots are generated at the university or wherever, so the raw data sent from the stations is subject to anything that can interfere with (I presume) shortwave radio.
Whether or not the transmitters are above ground - as they most likely are - they will be susceptible to solar flare inerference or whatever, even a local electric storm, which would contaminate the signal before it's received and thus appear as spikes on the plots.
