Morgan is that she had mentioned she works for a tree service and with this being summer, perhaps her workload is heavier than normal due to the season. Please explain with links, quotes, or something tangible how you understand the NGVD elevation because you have confused me now. Have you verified with the GPS stations? GPS Station: P456, north of Hebgen Lake: [link to volcanoes.usgs.gov] GPS Station P458, west of Hebgen Lake: [link to volcanoes.usgs.gov] Go back a few years on the Water Data site and the temperatures look normal for 2014: [link to nwis.waterdata.usgs.gov] My understanding is that with the recent spike in discharge, the lake's elevation will rise along with that. It won't be an exact match because water takes time to travel along tributaries in the mountains. The one big problem is that we have no elevation measurements for years before 2014, so how can you tell that the elevation increase of 7 feet is out of the ordinary, anyway? There is another thread that clearly shows USGS tampering with seismo output, but i cant find the info now. it showed info for B206, B208 & B944 being removed (big blank areas of failed readings, and pressure/strain meters/tiltmeters showing deformation episodes |
