there a quite a few flying lights there in these days!
flash could be lightning, as they seem to appear over volcanoes. just a thought

Not sure it could be lightning since you can see the stars, unless it's a far off storm in the distance.

Looks like a shooting star to me.

there is a flying light (ball) in the beginning but also a big flash near the end of the video

lightnings usually occur during eruptions. but I don't think those were eruptions. could have been a storm or other weather related. yellow stone eruption would make the news. there are o lot of people watching that park, I believe ;)

again, snow melting everywhere bar on the RAISED walkway. it is raised off the ground just enough to not be heated from below

air temp is obviously low enough to maintain lying snow, ground temp ISNT!

interestingly, where the walkway dips ever so slightly, in the middle, bringing it closer to the ground, a bit of melting going on.

The flash looked like heat lightning to me. Is this sort of thing common at volcanos?

The flying dot could be anything. A spiritual orb. Perhaps an other dimensional thing wanted to play with the steam.

I thought Mary Greeley's recent video about the changing uplift by Yellowstone Lake was very interesting.

Agreed, but witch way is the camera pointed? It can pan and tilt.

Possibly volcanic related? Also is it possible Yellowstone can erupt again?

Not sure which way it is pointed. It finally disappeared about 6 minutes ago. It was there for quite a while.

Well, it's back again. I'm wondering if it's steam from an eruption from another geyser that is back in that tree line.

I watched it come and go until 1:00 a.m. so I am pretty sure it's not sunset. I was wondering if it could be a forest fire maybe.
