Please excuse my ignorance if this has been posted already...but, isn't this normal for Yellowstone to vent like this? Or, is it being more active then usual?

No, it's not VERY normal at all. There is a reason someone is using a joystick for this normally steady aimed camera. There is also a reason they are panning the entire valley to give an idea of exactly how much is venting and likely recording it all. I was at Yellowstone late fall last year, there was nowhere near as much venting as this. And again, that someone is manning the camera is quite telling.
