Geep: Rare 'goat-sheep' born on Irish farm
A rare, hybrid animal that is part goat and part sheep has been born on a farm in the Republic of Ireland.

The animal, referred to as a geep, was born about two weeks ago on Paddy Murphy's farm in County Kildare.

The unexpected arrival is thought to be the result of mating between a goat and one of the sheep farmer's Cheviot ewes.

Mr Murphy said the cross-breeding was not intentional. He described it as a "pure shock to the system" and said it would be a "one-off" event on his farm.

Not that kind of getting along, but there the animals that were mixed were in the bible. My favorite the MULE.

I hope they find away to breed some more geeps those are cute animals. The wool would be different, it would have to breed to make milk. Who know maybe they are compatible, some breeds of sheep and a type of goat that can mate.

It is cute.

It's probably sterile. Cute little bugger. Sheep are relatively clueless, inane creatures, although adorable. Goats are like puppies with horns, but not so cute as adults. I wonder what kind of personality it will have
