Re: newborn kittens question
Leave them alone. She will only move them right back to where she wants them when they are this small. Mother cat will clean up after them. I know it sounds gross, but trust me. I had a cat do this, but I had a water bed so I just had to wait until I moved, thinking I would have a horrible stain to clean up and there was not a spot there.

You could try putting a box with the sides cut down enough to fit under the bed and leave room for her to get in and out of and she may move them there on her own.

But otherwise, most definitely leave them alone for now.

Handling them is usually not the problem, but moving them is as they will move them right back to where they feel they are protected until they open their eyes at about a week.

Listen to this guy, W had a Mom and daughter have like 12 kittens all together once under my bed and they would just move em back.

Re: newborn kittens question
The momma has to stimulate them to pee and poop. She will do the cleaning (As in eating). Our cat had 3 about 3 weeks ago. She will move them when she is ready.

Re: newborn kittens question
Yes. I agree with the other posters that you allow
them to remain under your bed for now. The momma
wants the kitten to be IN THE DARK. That is because the
kittens eyes are still very vulnerable and devolping
right after they are born.
Sometimes pet owners--for their own curiosity and
love for the kitties--will want to move them into
the open and light where they can be watched and
enjoyed. They need to be out of direct light until
their eyes open.
I would take that advice about putting a small box
open at the top and with a cut-out where momma cat
can go in and out, but kitties can't leave the box
on their own--and just allow her to be where she
wants to be under your bed. She wants to be close
to YOU but she wants her kittens safe, too!
That's sweet!
Enjoy the beauty of nature--love them kittas!
Cheers!

Re: newborn kittens question
I have a feral cat that I have been feeding for years at our apartment complex, named her Black Kitty, very original ha ha. Anyway, I used to feed her out by my car, but about two years ago when I could see that she was very pregnant, I knew she wouldn't do well out near all those cars. I began inviting her toward my apartment with food and 'here kitty kitty', and eventually one day she jumped up on my balcony on the second floor. I fed her and showed her the laundry room on the side of the balcony, and told her she would be safe there. I showed her the box I had prepared for her complete with pink baby blanket. I told her she could have her babies there.

NEXT MORNING I went out and she had given birth to four sweet little kitties and was laying in the box feeding them and purring looking up at me. I will never forget it.

Those four kitties all live inside now, and momcat still hangs around the balcony and gets fed twice a day, sleeps on top of the dryer. P.S., all have been spayed/neutered now. Loves ma kittehs....

I had the same thing happen to me about a month ago.
Let the kittens be for now, after they open their eyes she will move them again. In the meantime, you could set up a box for her in the closet and show it to her when she comes out to eat. She may move them on her own.
Congrats! Kittens are the best!

Re: newborn kittens question
Put under your bed a cozy little sleep area and a separate litter box

Mom will train the babies to use the litter box real quick! And the bed shows them there is 1 place for this and I1 place for that.

You are so lucky, I would love kittens again

Re: newborn kittens question
leave the kittens alone - don't touch them.

add a shallow box with a blanket under the bed for the mother to use if she wants.

this place could use some big momma cat admins to eat all the pee poop
