Yup, Tibetan buddhists were actually the first to discover this. Been doing it for thousands of years.

Yes, I am happy about it too :) Makes many old myths which were general thought to be impossible now very real. Maybe it is a rediscovery of old technology? I love it!

Agree, science does not discover anything but only re-discovers lost technology. It's all a circle.

The essence of levitation technology is the countervailing of gravity. It is known that an ultrasound standing wave is capable of suspending small particles at its sound pressure nodes. The acoustic axis of the ultrasound beam in conventional studies was parallel to the gravitational force, and the levitated objects were manipulated along the fixed axis (i.e. one-dimensionally) by controlling the phases or frequencies of bolted Langevin-type transducers. In the present study, we considered extended acoustic manipulation whereby millimetre-sized particles were levitated and moved three-dimensionally by localised ultrasonic standing waves, which were generated by ultrasonic phased arrays.

Acoustic levitation is desirable because, unlike magnetic levitation, it can be used on any object — not just materials and liquids that are magnetic. Likewise, buoyancy can be used to “levitate” some liquids, but again there are strict limitations on what liquids can be used (they must be immiscible, as with water and oil). The only limitation with acoustic levitation is that the object’s diameter must correspond to half the wavelength of the acoustic waves. As you can see, the team have no issues levitating a toothpick — something that would be impossible with both magnetic and buoyancy levitation.

attended an "electric universe" conference a few weeks ago and it was fascinating hearing the scientists talk about things, that I had heard at a "Remembrance of the Heart" conference back in 1996.

Using different language they are talking about the same things.

Oh, I can imagine that this conference was very interesting! Would loved to attend, but distance :D

It all comes down to frequencies which influence everything, same as light. Also its proven that sound changes brain waves. And there are so much we can't perceive. Really set one thinking!

In the middle of the meadow, about 250 metres from the cliff, was a polished slab of rock with a bowl like cavity in the centre. The bowl had a diameter of one metre and a depth of 15 centimetres. A block of stone was manoeuvred into this cavity by Yak oxen. The block was one metre wide and one and one half metres long. Then 19 musical instruments were set in an arc of 90 degrees at a distance of 63 metres from the stone slab.

The radius of 63 metres was measured out accurately. The musical instruments consisted of 13 drums and 6 trumpets.(Ragdons) Eight drums had a cross-section of one metre, and a length of one and one half metres. Four drums were medium size with a cross-section of 0.7 metre and a length of one metre. The only small drum had a cross-section of 0.2 metres and a length of 0.3 metres. All the trumpets were the same size.

I had a very vivid dream about a year ago. In my dream, ETs were explaining to me how they maneuvered their ships.

They told me they rode sound waves and showed me that it was like surfers riding ocean waves.

Mind blown.

We can levitate the pentagon! Just have to get the frequency right...
