Monsanto was found to be illegally dumping cancerous PCBs, dioxins, and Agent Orange constituents from a plant into water supply.


The village of Groesfaen used to be a quaint, though prospering UK town near Wales, but the waters of a nearby quarry started turning bright orange, and a vile smell began emanating from the stream that flowed from the 36-foot deep quarry. After town residents and the owner of the quarry requested an investigation years ago, Monsanto was found to be illegally dumping cancerous PCBs, dioxins, and Agent Orange constituents from a plant in Barton Williams into the Groesfaen’s water supply.

They obliterated the Washington initiative that was certain to pass by the polling numbers. The grocery store lobby (Grocery Manufacturers Association) also helped to crush it in a big way.


FEAR - UNCERTAINTY - DOUBT - UNLIMITED CHECKBOOK, that is the game plan, and it has worked perfectly so far.

But, the Washington initiative may be coming back even stronger this year... and in multiple states in the west, so they may have inadvertently screwed themselves.

When you see a federal action on it, you know they have lost and they are simply putting in a weakened trojan-horse bill that does nothing other than heading off any real change at the pass.

I live in Jackson county Oregon- for those of us who farm here this is a BIG deal! With most of the money for defeating this county measure coming from outside the county you would think that the average joe would question the motives. However there are still a lot of folks here who are either unaware or flat out do not care about genetically modified crops infiltrating their food. There is a lot of support for "local foods" and yet the scope of this measure is still lost on a lot of souls. I am still seeing campaign signs for no on 15-119 and in what appear to be cattle farming land.
The argument rages on here.. we will see.

Here is the truth to that good question...

Because people would see that virtually every crop sold in the USA is largely GMO... many of the most important ones are totally GMO.

So, it would pull the curtain back on what they are eating.

They are scared stiff about that.

GMOs are the best tool we have to preserve the soil ecosystem because the allow farmers to use no-till farming practices. The previous crop is just rolled over into the soil which then supplies the next crop with 70% of the needed nitrogen.

Non- GMO fields are void of all life because they are heavily sprayed with very toxic pesticides and plowed up after each harvest which exposes the healthy soil to the heat of the sun depleting it of its moisture and important carbon and nitrogen sinks.

Monsanto is a great company that provides the seeds that farmers want to use because they work.

Monsanto feeds the world with healthier products that are much better and safer for the worlds ecological systems.
