Less than 50%

“Flight MH 370 Malaysia Airlines missing on March 8th with 239 passengers was hijacked. Pilots are not guilty, the plane was hijacked by unknown terrorists. We know that the name of the terrorist who gave instructions to pilots is ‘Hitch’. The plane is in Afghanistan not far from Kandahar near the border with Pakistan,” claims the newspaper–which has a circulation of about 1.1 million.

Apparently not. "The Boeing 777 is a family of long-range wide-body twin-engine jet airliners developed and manufactured by Boeing Commercial Airplanes." (wikipedia)

You are probably thinking of the Airbus 340.

Nevermind, I'm sorry. You meant the plane on google maps. Yes it has 4 engines and looks like an Antonov. The 777 has 2 engines. The plane in the photo is not the plane that was MH370.

Now the question can be asked, why is an Antonov on a US military base in Afghanistan? Are we doing some business with Russia there?

But it's a different question than the one about MH370.

Might be although I think it's in the S. China Sea and the search was moved to quickly. Remember 9-11 and no one knew where anybody was? What we are told of " Air Traffic Control" and military defense and what it actually in fact is can be unsettling. I assume this incident displays how poorly our air traffic systems are really when crisis strikes. If 4 commercial airliners were lost over the busiest most heavily monitored airspace on 9-11, why would 1 missing over third world airspace surprise you?

Interesting. cheers
I had guessed Uzbeikistan, but Afghanistan is closer.
If the wing is broken, then it probably didn't land in an airport. Maybe a rough belly landing somewhere. Don't go by that Google map pic, it could be some other aircraft.

We'll wait and see.
