I used to be a delusional Catholic. It is not "worship". It is asking her and the saints for guidance and prayers. The Church has a boat-load of problems but this subject is not a huge deal.
I am not sure of the story behind Mary's appearances, but there are thousands of such stories where she has appeared to people and children- some non catholics, some African kids too. Her largest appearance was to 25,000 people... not saying it is for real, just saying there is something to these events. Supernatural or what- I do not know.

I'll bet you keep "graven images" of yourself and your family in your house.

Kissing them is evil.
Praying to them is evil.
Kneeling before them is evil.
Talking to them is evil.
Honoring them is evil.

God has a calendar that isnt the gregorian calendar. The entire world, led by the roman catholic church uses the pope gregory's Gregorian calendar.

God has His Sabbath Day that is found using His calendar (ezekiel 46:1 will give you the template of His days, weeks and month)

God has feast days (in Leviticus 23) and they are appointed times for worship and they are found with God's calendar.

God has given His son a name, Yeshua in Aaramaic, YahShua in Hebrew and Joshua transliterated in English. ( book after Torah in our Old testament- same exact name)-

The entire church world, led by the Catholic church ,uses a Greco Roman Latin transliterated name for the Messiah of Israel, ignoring that no Hebrew, let alone the only name under heaven by which we must be saved, has ever been named Jesus... ( even some bibles have corrected this and have switched'jesus'to Joshua in Hebrew 4:8. Acts 7:45 and Luke 3:29 when it was meant to mean the Joshua in the OT- unfortunately due to tradition, the other Jesus' were kept as the faulty Greco roman Latin transliteration when Joshua is the proper English transliteration.)

God gave Miriam, a Torah observant Israeli woman, the blessing of being the mother of the Messiah of Israel.
this Torah observant Miriam, who was told what to name Her son by Her Heavenly Father, was given Yeshua, and never told to use a greco roman latin transliteratd name jesus for Her Son-

But now comes down in visions and uses a name that she never called her son -maybe never a word she never knew when she was alive, and we are to believe that?


So to recap,
The world, led by the roman catholic church:

Has subsituted God's calendar for their own.
Has substituted God's Sabbath for their own. (Saturday isn't it either)
Has substituted God's feasts day for their own.
Has substituted God's Son's given name, for their own.
Has substituted God's Torah obsrvant mother of our Messiah Joshua, Miriam, for their own Greco Roman latinized version Mary who calls her son by a Greco Roman latinized transliteration name...

Lots of substitutes...
And the word 'anti' in my bible concordance (#473- greek) doesn't mean 'against or in opposition', like we have come to understand..
It's meaning is ' in exchange for', 'in place of' ,' instead of'

I see WAY TOO MANY substitutes or 'in place ofs or instead ofs' to be comfortable with the roman catholic church or her protestant daughters she has birthed over the years..

I pray Protestants wake up too....they share quite a bit of the roman catholic church foundation...

Please stop fighting over religion. That is the only lie here. Each of us have our own practices and beliefs. That shouldn't spill over into fighting and intolerance of one another...Jesus taught us a message of love, forgiveness, peace and compassion. He did not preach religious practices.

Our focus should be based on what He taught, love and more love.

I am a Byzantine Catholic, a step away from Orthodox. I am sure Jesus would not be too happy with people dissing His Mom. Mary deserves respect as the Mother Of Jesus.

Thank you so much OP for going by there. It is all I can do to not get in the car and drive up there myself. But I have some other responsibilities over the next couple of days that keep me here. I do plan on going up there very soon though. I have some brothers that need the Lord's healing touch and I would like to touch the tears of Mary while laying hands on them and praying for their healing.

IF there is anyone in the area who wants to check it out, and discern for themselves, the statue is located at Saint Mary's Church, which is about a mile south of route 6(Ridge Road) on Broad Street, in Griffith Indiana. It is on the east side of the street. It would be less than an hour drive from Chicago, depending on the traffic.
It is the small statue in front of the rectory, close to the street, NOT the big one at the south end of the property, by the school.
