I'm a Felon Fighting My State Department Of Corrections... ask me a question.
Recent events have forced my hand to pull back the curtains on a tight knit good-ol-boys ring that might be deeper than anyone imagined, but being the case and not the officer, my battle will be uphill all the way.

Re: I'm a Felon Fighting My State Department Of Corrections... ask me a question.
I've done a crime, did my time and have walked the line for 7 years on community custody. I had two incidents of "consuming alcohol" that were violations of my probation, but an exemplary case that all of the corrections officers who have been assigned to me, have shared so with the court in filed reports and in front of the judge, in short they all like me and wish more of the other people they have to deal with were as easy going as I am.

A few months ago, I had a random home visit from one officer and his buddy, both of which are obese (remember, these are corrections officers, ones who were rejected from being real cops). My hours are quite opposite from normal working folk, since I help take care of my fiancee's disabled son, so at the time of their visit, we had just gone to bed. After waking to them banging loudly on the door, my lady went to answer in her robe, and the way our front door and small porch is laid out, there is a railing and ramp for her sons wheelchair that decline to the left of the door, around a small 2 foot wall to the left. She opened the door and didn't see anyone, but heard some grunting, and so she called out, "can I help you?" as she stepped forward to look around the corner to see the one officer getting himself off the ground, and then taking another step to have full view down the ramp, she finds his partner drawing his firearm and hip-aiming it at her.

We live in an area of upper middle-class to wealthy income families on an island community, not some crack riddled south Chicago gang street where the need for SWAT gear would be necessary. These two clowns were dialed up just short of knee pads and helmets, so in my opinion, very over the top for a basic field visit.

My lady absolutely did not deserve to have a weapon drawn on her, so she took it to the county division supervisor, which then lead to an investigation. After the investigator took our depo's, we found out that this cowboy has 5 other incidents pending.

All was good, the corrections officer assigned to me was replaced and the new one, I have done a brief check-in with twice.

Fast forward to today where I was supposed to have a parole review only to find out this new officer who has had less than 20 minutes facetime with me, is wanting to revoke my parole on the basis of one of my "alcohol violations" from two years ago, and his report is full of lies. My attorney almost laughed, but has gotten so upset that she is taking this to the top of the DOC and going for badges.

Are you on probation, parole, or both?
